Buryat Republic, Russia: "Now There's a Practice Site Even in this Remote Village" (Photos)
By a practitioner from Russia
(Clearwisdom.net) The Buryat Republic, also known as Buryatia, is a vast
but thinly populated place in the mountainous southern extremes of Russia's
Siberia. Most residents are descendants of the Mongolians. In a remote village,
there live one thousand seven hundred Buryats who are mainly engaged in animal
farming, with no computer or internet connection. They know very little about
what happens in the outside world. One of the villagers has a relative who is a Falun Gong practitioner in
Irkutsk, Siberia's largest city. One year ago, the villager was lucky enough to
learn Falun Gong and started to practice cultivation. Through doing the
exercises, the severe arthritis that had bothered him for years was miraculously
cured. This became big news in the small village. The practitioner from Irkutsk
promoted Falun Gong in the village, bringing along Falun Gong books and
materials. A practice site was thus established here. At present, seven or eight people show up regularly for Fa study and
exercises. Everyone feels healthy and energized since they began practicing
Falun Gong. Several practitioners from Irkutsk recently came to study the Fa, do the
exercises, and share cultivation experiences with local practitioners. They were
also invited to the local school to promote Falun Gong and clarify the truth
about the persecution. A poor, remote village now has a new life. Falun Gong brought health, beauty
and hope to the villagers. Group exercises Teaching the students Discussing Falun Gong and the persecution to the students Learning about Falun Gong
