Practitioner Mr. Huang Xiaojie from Liaoning Province Sentenced to Eight Years of Imprisonment With No Legal Procedure

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Mr. Huang Xiaojie lives in Zhizhushan Town, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. Because of his steadfast belief in Falun Gong, he has been the target of persecution by the Zhizhushan Police Station. Huang Xiaojie was forced to become homeless, and while staying at his cousins' home he was arrested. His family members were also harassed by the police.

Liu Wanquan, the police station director, tried to force him to write a letter denouncing Falun Gong and he refused, so the policemen beat him with thick wooden and rubber clubs until his whole body was covered in bruises. Huang Xiaojie was unable to sit down for two months after being released. The police also took away his two cell phones. Huang Xiaojie's mother, aunt, cousin's husband, and another cousin were all arrested by Liu Wangquan and taken to the police station. Huang's mother's face was swollen from being beaten by the policemen. The cousin's husband and another cousin were beaten severely too, besides being extorted 17,000 yuan as a "fine." Huang Xiaojie's son was forced to stop going to school and stayed with a relative in another city, and his wife also had to go to another place for two months to try and avoid being persecuted.

On August 12, 2001, Liu Wanquan, policeman Li Shuoguo and others arrested Huang Xiaojie again. In order to avoid the torture, Huang Xiaojie tried to escape from the police station. Liu Wanquan ordered his assistant to shoot Huang Xiaojie with his gun to stop Huang from escaping. Huang was shot in the left leg, and the bullet broke his leg. Huang was then brought back to the police station. His family didn't receive any further information about him until later, when with much effort, they found out that Huang Xiaojie was detained at the Dabei Prison. They found out from the prison that Huang Xiaojie had been sentenced to eight years of imprisonment. Almost six years past since Huang Xiaojie was imprisoned, Huang and his family still don't know what crime Huang was charged with because no legal procedure or trial was held.

Huang Xiaojie is only one of the Dafa practitioners that Liu Wanquan has persecuted in Zhizhushan Town. For example, Liu Wanquan arrested another practitioner, Li Guangfu, and his parents the day after he arrested Huang Xiaojie. The elderly parents were forced to watch their son being beaten by the policemen with a thick wooden club until the club broke. Liu Wanquan also tried to forced Li Guangfu to write a letter denouncing Falun Gong, but Li refused. In the end, Li Guangfu was framed by Liu Wanquan and sentenced to six years of imprisonment. Li Guangfu is currently detained at the No. 1 Prison of Shenyang Province.

Due to his role in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, Liu Wanquan was promoted to Fuxin County. Two years later however, Liu Wanquan was reported to the police regarding some of his earlier crimes and he was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment as karmic retribution for his sins. Later, it was said that he was diagnosed with cancer while in prison.
