Practitioner Qu Guangyi Subjected to Brutal Torture in Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp (Jiutai, Jilin Province)


(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Mr. Qu Guangyi from Duhui City was arrested by local police officers during the fall of 2006. They sent him to Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai, Jilin Province where he was subjected to brainwashing tactics. While in the camp, he was brutally tortured. The guards hung him up, deprived him of sleep, and burned his skin. As a result, he was in very poor condition both physically and mentally.

In May 2007, Mr. Qu was sent to a forced labor factory where he had to work long hours. The food provided there was worse than what they fed animals. He suffered mentally and was diagnosed with nephritis (inflammation of the kidney). He suffered tremendously due to this illness. Guards from the labor camp forced Mr. Qu to continue working after giving him very poor medical treatment. When his relatives visited him, the guards threatened Mr. Qu into saying, "I am fine. Everything is fine." In other words, he was not allowed to reveal the true situation in the labor camp. His relatives told him that his mother missed him so much every day that she was not able to eat. As a result, she became ill and later passed away. Even though Mr. Qu's mother died, the forced labor camp did not allow him to attend the funeral but instead forced him to do heavy labor. Mr. Qu is not recognizable due to the torture he has endured. The guards in the forced labor camp do not treat his illness nor give him any therapy, but continue to torture him.

Mr. Qu Guangyi is not the only person suffering from being tortured in China. The Olympic Games are supposed to bring health and wellbeing to people, but healthy people are being tortured and killed. In a country such as China that does not uphold human rights but only enforces brutal control, what can it possibly give to human society? What is the purpose for holding the Olympics there?

Here, we call upon international human rights organizations, the Coalition to Investigate the

Persecution of Falun Gong, and all righteous people worldwide to pay attention to this human rights violation. The persecution is still happening today and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is even more brutal, hideous, deceptive and base. Let us cooperate and together stop this persecution. In the meantime, the CCP must release practitioner Mr. Qu Guangyi and all other illegally arrested and detained Dafa practitioners.
