Cherish Our Cultivation Opportunities and Take a Righteous Path in Cultivation By a practitioner in Hebei Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Three years ago, the supervisor at my workplace was
replaced by someone who was appointed by our workplace's superior unit. Since he
came from a related unit, he knew that my colleague "A" and I were
Falun Gong practitioners. He was immediately afraid that we would affect his
position, so every few days he would talk to us. He didn't allow us to promote
Dafa and clarify the truth at the workplace, nor did he allow us to
read Dafa-related materials. He suggested that we practice other exercises to
improve health. Practitioner A clarified the truth about Dafa to him, saying
that we follow "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and try to improve
ourselves based on those principles. We both realized that we should break
through such interference and look inside ourselves for any problems. Cultivating in Dafa is such a precious opportunity that will not come again.
I took the wrong path once in the past, and this time I must cherish the
opportunity that Dafa presents and follow Master home. Faced with this
interference, I realized even more that "Dafa is solemn, and cultivation
practice is a serious matter." ("Drive Out Interference") I
thought about it seriously, "What is a Fa-rectification period Dafa
disciple? What is the mission of a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple? What
should a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple do?" I realized that I had
the attachments of being afraid of being fired, jealousy, and competitiveness. I
also realized that I had sometimes clarified the truth in order to validate
myself, rather than Dafa. I didn't spend enough time doing Fa study
and could never study the Fa with a calm mind. After studying Master's new
articles and lectures, I realized what I should do. 1. Study the Fa more and look at things based on Dafa, take the path that
Master has arranged for us We should study the Fa more because "The Fa can break all attachments,
the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can
strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference") We
should study the Fa more and let our righteous thoughts come from the Fa. My
supervisor didn't allow us to promote Dafa and clarify the truth. We didn't
listen to him and still clarified the truth. "No matter what the situation,
do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates."
("Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful") We just followed what Master said and handed out truth-clarification
materials, VCDs and amulets(1) to our colleagues. Our colleagues also passed the
materials on to each other, and sometimes left them on the table. Our supervisor
found the materials and asked where they had come from. Our colleagues covered
for us and said, "We picked them up in the hall." The supervisor didn't allow us to read Dafa books, but during our break times
at work we still read. Whenever we had time, we would recite Master's Fa-rectification
formula and rectify every thought of ours so that we assimilated to Dafa,
leaving no loopholes for the evil to use. I found that when I wasn't diligent
enough, my supervisor tried to find excuses to persecute me. This shows how
important it is to cultivate ourselves well! As we hired new people at work, other colleagues' workloads were reduced, but
practitioner A and I still had to work overtime. We realized that the old forces
were using our work to carry out the persecution against us. We sent forth
righteous thoughts to deny the old forces' arrangements that had increased our
workload, interfering with our ability to do the three things and
save sentient beings. We asked Master for help, firmly believing in Dafa and
Master, and took the cultivation path that Master arranged for us. In the end,
Master made a very good arrangement for us where we could do both our work and
the three things well. 2. In order to rectify the cultivation environment, we should first cultivate
ourselves well At work, we pay attention to our behavior and speech and try to be
considerate in every way to our clients. Everyday we have to deal with a large
amount of cash, which we receive from clients. We never take or divert this
money, and keep our hearts unmoved. When we run into situations where clients
have overpaid anywhere from several cents up to tens of thousands of yuan,
we always return the money, which makes our clients very appreciative. We refuse
to take any gifts that the clients may offer to us. They trust us implicitly,
and our performance at work has laid a good foundation for us to clarify the
truth. As Master said, "You are cultivators, whose conduct is [supposed to be] pure and
righteous. There are so many people who think you're great just by having seen
how you act." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in
Boston") On one occasion, I returned one hundred yuan in cash to a client who had
overpaid. I then clarified the truth to her and she agreed to quit the Chinese
Communist Party. We gave out copies of the "Nine Commentaries on the
Communist Party" and other literature to clients we had contact with,
and they all accepted the materials. Some also agreed to withdraw from the CCP. On our break times at work, we often told our colleagues stories from "Minghui
Weekly" that were rich in traditional Chinese culture. At the same time
we told them the principles that "good is rewarded with good and evil is
rewarded with evil" and that "you cannot gain without loss." Our
work environment has changed dramatically. Clients don't complain anymore, and
our colleagues who are not practitioners are learning to be good people. On one
occasion, a colleague returned over ten thousand yuan that had been overpaid.
The client became even happier with us. I understand these situations to be
manifestations of Dafa's power. 3. Strengthen our efforts to clarify the truth and help our colleagues and
their families be saved The colleagues and supervisors around us are also sentient beings who can be
saved. I helped practitioner A send hundreds of truth-clarification letters to
colleagues and supervisors in our workplace and also to the superior units who
didn't understand the truth yet. If one letter was not enough, we would send two
or three letters. Our supervisor used to tell us, "If it were not for your
outstanding work, I would have punished you long ago. Even if our superiors
wouldn't lay you off, I would have." Occasionally, he would say to us,
"If it is good, you can practice it at home. If it is good, read the book
at home. Please be careful." After some of our colleagues realized the truth, they helped their children
to withdraw from the Youth League and Young Pioneer organizations of the Chinese
Communist Party. I said to myself, "This colleague's sister and that
colleague's wife have not withdrawn yet." Then, within a few days, I would
meet them and help them withdraw. I know Master was helping me. Later Master's
"Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital." In it
Master said, "People with predestined relationships and those who can be saved can
be made to--made to by Master's Law Bodies, righteous gods, or the immense
field that Dafa has formed in the world--appear right before you in any of a
range of settings, providing them with a chance to learn the truth." I have experienced this first-hand many times. In the future, I will cherish this cultivation opportunity even more and
strive forward diligently. I am grateful for Master's compassionate salvation
