(Clearwisdom.net) Recently I ran into a fellow practitioner whom I haven't seen for years. We exchanged cultivation experiences for a short while, and we discussed the prison guards' inhuman treatment of imprisoned practitioners. We also touched on how illegally detained practitioners, despite the harsh environment, persevere in sending forth righteous thoughts at every set hour to eradicate evil beings in other dimensions. We both had a lot to share on the subject.
We agreed that each practitioner should fulfill his/her responsibility. We are spreading the truth about Falun Gong to save sentient beings at our respective xinxing levels and based on our understandings of the Fa. As I understand it, we all are particles of the Fa and we are one-body at all times and in all places.
Prisons and forced labor camps subject our fellow practitioners to inhuman tortures in repeated attempts to make practitioners renounce Falun Gong. Because these practitioners constantly face torture, every minute or second feels like a very long time. In some places, as many as six prison inmates are assigned to torture one Falun Gong practitioner. Together these inmates deprive the practitioner of sleep, make him/her sit still for nearly 20 hours per day and make him/her listen to or watch materials that slander Falun Gong. I recently heard that a fellow practitioner in prison had held a hunger strike, as a peaceful means to protest the illegal imprisonment and torture, for over 30 days. The water she was given made her feel dizzy and the water supplied to her for shampooing her hair made her scalp sore. The prison guards may have drugged the water in order to destroy her will and therefore aid their effort in forcing her to give in and renounce Falun Gong.
Some of us who are outside the prison walls or outside other types of detention facilities feel strongly that persecuting the imprisoned practitioners is also persecuting those of us who are not imprisoned. According to those practitioners who have been released, they did not allow themselves to slack off while they were imprisoned, knowing that fellow practitioners outside the prison were sending forth righteous thoughts as one-body in order to rescue them. Despite the surveillance cameras and being watched by convicted murderers, robbers and other criminals, imprisoned practitioners have refused to neglect their responsibilities. They continue to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and about the nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to those criminals. As a result, many prison inmates have seen through the evil CCP and agreed to withdraw from the CCP, the CCP Youth League and the CCP Young Pioneers. Despite the inhospitable environment, they spread the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to the prison inmates, some of whom have even persuaded their family members to withdraw from the CCP and its two affiliated organizations. I also heard that the imprisoned practitioners have come to understand that coordinating with fellow practitioners will curb the persecution and that righteous thoughts and righteous actions will intimate the evil beings in other dimensions.
In contrast, we both noticed that some practitioners who are not in prison dawdle the time away. They are consumed by everyday people's affairs or things unrelated to validating the Fa. I am not saying that they shouldn't do anything else but validate the Fa. There are some very diligent practitioners who have been sleeping a few hours a day, balancing well between saving sentient beings and taking care of their families. I would like to remind fellow practitioners and myself that while we are dawdling the time away, imprisoned practitioners are struggling to survive every minute and even every second!
I have noticed that some fellow practitioners have read so many articles about the persecution that they have become numb. Even I feel indifferent at times. The evil is partitioning us practitioners by exploiting our indifference. Let's become diligent in our cultivation and eliminate the partitioning in order to save more sentient beings.
I would also like to remind practitioners to find out if those practitioners whom we read about on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website have been arrested again by the persecutors who want to make sure they renounce Falun Gong. We may contact their family members or resort to any other means to rescue these practitioners. As for those practitioners whose families we are unable to contact, we may call or write the prison to deter the prison guards from doing their wicked deeds and to curb the persecution. We have the obligation to rescue fellow practitioners because we are one-body.
