June 26, 2007 |

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Yulan from Qian'an County, Jilin Province, had been detained in a forced labor camps two times. During the detainments she was severely tortured both mentally and physically. Upon release she was forced to leave home and go from place to place to avoid further persecution. She passed away on June 18, 2007.

Ms. Li Yulan, 60 years old, was a resident of Su Township in Qian'an County, Jilin Province. She began practicing Falun Gong in 1996. At that time all her diseases disappeared and she changed from being a selfish person, who only cared about herself, to someone who always thought of others first.

On March 12, 2001, Li Yulan was illegally arrested and taken to the Qian'an County Detention Center. Afterwards, she was detained for one year.

Within ten days after her term was completed and she was to be released, on March 22, 2002, people from her local police station took her to the county detention center.

Ms. Li refused to give up cultivation and therefore was sentenced to forced labor for two years. After the two years, she was released and stayed home for three months. On June 20, 2004, the team leader of the Military Police Team in Qian'an County led a group of people to break into Li Yulan's home. Then she was taken to the county detention center and detained. She went on a hunger strike to resist the illegal detention. More than 20 days later, people from the Qian'an County Police Bureau took her to the Changchun Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp, who refused to admit her after a medical examination. Even though the police tried everything, the forced labor camp still refused to accept her, and eventually the police had to take her back and release her.

On the morning of July 12, 2004, the leader of the Military Police Team in Qian'an County led four or five people to break into Ms. Li's home and take her away. They sent her directly to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp.

When she was detained, Ms. Li went on a hunger strike to resist this persecution. Later, under Teacher's care, she walked out of the forced labor camp in an upright manner. However, the authorities still didn't want to give up persecuting her, so they often went to her home to harass her. Eventually she was forced to leave home and become destitute again.

During that time, police officers often went to her home to harass her family, so Ms. Li couldn't return home. She suffered tremendously both physically and mentally, and she passed away on June 18, 2006.
