New Hampshire: Mayor Frank Guinta of the City of Manchester Proclaims May 13, 2007 as Falun Dafa Day

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 11, 2007, Frank C. Guinta, Mayor of the City of Manchester, New Hampshire, proclaimed May 13, 2007, as Falun Dafa Day in the city and encouraged the citizens to consider the universal principles of Falun Dafa in their lives.

A Proclamation

Whereas, Falun Dafa is an ancient cultivation practice based on the universal principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance;" and

Whereas, Falun Dafa is a self-improvement system of exercise movements and meditation; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa is practiced by tens of millions of practitioners in more than 55 countries; and

Whereas, those that practice Falun Dafa believe that it helps to create well-being and better members of society; and

Whereas, in addition, the brutal crackdown of Falun Dafa is in direct violation of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights;

Now, Therefore, I, Frank C. Guinta, Mayor of the City of Manchester, N.H., do hereby proclaim May 13, 2007, as Falun Dafa Day in the city. I encourage our citizens to consider the universal principles of Falun Dafa in their lives.

Given in the Aldermanic Chambers in Manchester, this Eleventh Day of May, in the year of Our Lord two thousand and seven, and the independence of the United States of America, two hundred and thirty-one.
