Falun Gong Practitioners Mr. Wu Baoming and His Wife Ms. Wang Shiqin from Shandong Province Illegally Arrested

(Clearwisdom.net) Note: The following is a shortened version of a longer and more detailed article that appeared on the minghui.ca website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).

Officers from the Pizhou City Police Department, adjacent to the Taierzhuang District in Jiangsu Province, ransacked Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wu Baoming's home in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province. The police illegally arrested Wu Baoming, his wife Wang Shiqin and their son Wu Bo.

Wu Bo was released after relatives paid the police 4,000 yuan. The police subsequently threatened and intimidated Wu Bo so frequently that he could not work or live a normal life, so he left home to escape the harassment. Wu Bo is in his thirties and worked at the Taierzhuang District Broadcast and Television Bureau. Right now, Wu Baoming and Wang Shiqin are still held at Pizhou City Detention Center in Jiangsu Province.

Wu Baoming is in his sixties. He is a retired senior veterinarian from the Taierzhuang District Livestock and Aquatic Products Bureau in Zaozhuang City. He was illegally fired and sentenced to two years of forced labor by Taierzhuang District Police Department agents in 2000. His wife Wang Shiqin and son Wu Bo were illegally detained at the Taierzhuang District Police Department for 15 days in 2000 and were also placed on probation at their workplaces. Taierzhuang District 610 Office agents sent Wang Shiqin and Wu Bo to a brainwashing center in Zibo City, Shandong Province in 2001, and to another brainwashing center in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province in 2002.

Dafa practitioners Xu Ming, Wang Jiayong and Li Yanfang from Taierzhuang District were also detained on May 16, 2007.
