A Miracle: Fire Did Not Destroy the Roof of My Thatched House

(Clearwisdom.net) I live in the Hewanzi Community in Jilin Province. One of my relatives is a Falun Gong practitioner. She stored her Dafa book at my home to avoid confiscation and asked me to protect them well. I put these books on top of my cabinet.

On January 5, 2001 of the Chinese lunar calendar, two persons from our village were in a motorcycle accident. They fell on the ground, and gas spilled all over them. One of them forgot that he had gas on his clothes when he came to my home for a cigarette. He lit a cigarette and was suddenly engulfed in flames, which quickly spread to the roof of my thatched house. However, the roof didn't catch fire. We quickly got the burning man outside. He was not seriously hurt except for a small burn on his hand, which recovered soon after applying medicine.

The fire hit my flammable roof, but didn't burn it. My husband asked our relative why this happened. She answered, "Because you protected Dafa books, my Master protected your house." Such a miraculous event immediately had a big impact on the locals and news of this event spread widely in the local area.

Last year, my father in China was in the last stage of nose cancer. My mother didn't want me to worry, so she kept this from me. Two weeks after my father had begun out-of-town treatment, my mother finally told me.

She told me on the phone that my father was in critical condition, but my brother and sister-in-law refused to take care of him. They didn't go to the hospital to see him, and didn't even contribute money. This was truly bad. I hoped I could return home immediately. Fortunately I had an idea about his quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I realized that this might be a good opportunity to persuade my father to quit. No matter what I said before about quitting, he didn't listen. So I called my parents and persuaded them to quit. My father agreed, against all my expectations.

The third day I called again. My mother told me happily that my father felt much better -- even the doctor was shocked. Three months later father was discharged; six months later he had fully recovered. All the doctors said that this was a miracle.

The more amazing thing was that my cold-hearted brother and sister-in-law have changed completely. They went to see father, gave him money, and helped do chores. We personally witnessed the miracle of what quitting the CCP can do. Now my father is very willing to listen to me about practicing cultivation.
