In the afternoon of March 19, 2007, the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Ministry of Public Security held a meeting with direct subordinates present, where Zhou Yongkang gave further direction concerning the suppression of Falun Gong. Immediately after, a new round of persecution of practitioners throughout China ensued. This is a clear indication that the CCP's final days are on the horizon.

Jilin was assigned as key region for the suppression during the Ministry of Public Security meeting. The Province's public security staff devised persecution plans without delay:

1. Investigate all Falun Gong practitioners who had been persecuted and who have a record.
2. Have spies infiltrate Falun Gong groups throughout the state, including villages, townships, districts and streets.
3. Allocate 80,000,000 yuan to maintain tighter controls over the Internet and telephone.

In the afternoon of May 9, 2007, plainclothes police arrested 38 practitioners in the Erdao District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. Police and staff from the Changchun City police, police branch at Erdao District and Changchun Public Security went to arrest practitioners. The Jilin Province Public Security Department staff were the initiators behind the new round of arrests. They used more than 10 police cars and close to 50 unmarked cars. Practitioners were interrogated and tortured during the night without any legal process.

Afterwards, the CCP expanded their list and ransacked more houses in every district of the city. A total of more than 50 practitioners were arrested, including pregnant women. It has not stopped as of date.

In the afternoon of April 29, when Luo Gan, one of the lead persecutors went to Hebei, police at Shenze County, Shijiazhuang City were given orders by 610 Office staff from the city and the province. Under the direction of provincial 610 officers, police stations in all counties and towns began a large scale arrest of practitioners. More than 10 people, including Mr. Ma Tongxin, were arrested and their family property was confiscated. Some people were forced into homelessness.

As rumors claim, this large scale arrest was triggered by an article from a reporter who attended the Hebei Province meeting. During the Chinese New Year, this person saw on streets in Xinze banners such as "Dafa Practitioners Wishing Everyone Happy New Year" and "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." He reported it to Ba Keming, the provincial party committee secretary. Ba ordered the immediate arrest of practitioners living in the Xinze area. They also posted an urgent notice from the Shijiazhuang Party Committee: "All officials of all levels are to search and arrest practitioners until the end of September."

In Daqing, during the approach of the holidays or vacations, officials are getting bonuses for persecuting practitioners. From April 21 to 26, police in Daqing ignored the angry people who witnessed their actions, and arrested more than 20 practitioners in broad daylight. Before this, they investigated these practitioners and contacted their work units. Many local officials said, "Falun Gong practitioners are good people. This is not our duty, but nonsense from upper 610 Office officials. They will pay for what they did."

Corrupt police arrested practitioners and confiscated their property without showing any proper identification. They refused to identify themselves and robbed valuable items from practitioners' homes. When some people chastised them, they said, "So what? What can you do to us? If you say one more word we will get you too!" And they extorted money from practitioners openly, "Give us 20,000 yuan and we will let you go. Or you can get us a second-hand car." The police in Daqing are seen by the locals as being the true destabilizing factor in society.

From April 10 to 17, staff from the Yantai 610 Office arrested 8 practitioners and took them to a brainwashing center. Among them were two elderly people and a newly married young man whose wife is three months pregnant. They arrested Mr. Yu Haiyong and his family wherever they were, including at school and at work. They even arrested his 7-year-old son. This was planned by Gao You, Zhang Chunjie, Liu Guoyue, and others from the Tantai 610 Office. Staff from the Zhifu Public Security Bureau, and police from the Haiyang City Police Station, Xidajie Police Station, as well as staff from the residents' committee, and the Yantai Military District were those who did the dirty work of arresting practitioners.

There was no brainwashing center serving the Yantai 610 Office in the Fushan, Laishan and Zhifu districts. The brainwashing center in the Zhifu District is located on the 3rd floor of the Xingfu Courtyard. It was established in 2002. Several hundred practitioners have been imprisoned there. Among the practitioners who are currently detained are Sun Yuhua, an elderly family member of ex-vice commander of the Yantai Military District. He has been on a hunger strike for 8 days to protest his illegal arrest. Police officers, including Liu Guoyao, violently force-fed him and almost broke Mr. Sun's teeth. Ms. Yu Haiyong had been shackled to an iron bed for 23 hours. In the early morning of May 4, in an attempt to escape the persecution, some practitioners jumped from the 3rd floor. Several people were injured. The police refused to release any information about the injured.

Around 12:30 a.m. on April 12, a few dozen practitioners in Benxi were secretly arrested, including two 80-year-old practitioners. The perpetrators entered their homes by breaking doors or windows. They did not show any identification and robbed the practitioners in the process. We have heard that the practitioners are detained at Gongren Police Station, Dabailou Detention Center and in the women's prison that was recently built at the end of the Benxi Bridge, just to detain practitioners.

Since the exposure of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in March of last year, the entire world is in shock. The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) has set up branches on all four continents. An international effort has begun to investigate the crimes. As of now, at least 55 lawsuits have been filed against Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan. With more than 22 million people withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, Chinese people are waking up and the death knell for the CCP is ringing.

With the changes in the overall situation, less and less people are willing to participate in the persecution. More and more people have chosen to make amends and save themselves. Whatever crazy acts the CCP will show to the world, it cannot save itself from its death. Just the opposite happens -- it awakens more people's conscience and hastens the death of the CCP.
