(Clearwisdom.net) Before the persecution of Falun Dafa began in China, other practitioners and I often saw numerous flashing dots of light. We didn't know what they were. Master Li Hongzhi taught in "Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Midwest-U.S. Fa Conference:"

"Those beings that the old forces arranged to do specific things aren't those messed up, low-level spirit or rotten ghost kind of beings that I've talked about. There are Buddhas, Daos and Gods among them, though they're all of low levels, and here at this lowest level that is the human world they're doing things given to them by the old forces. They manifest in tiny sizes, and sometimes you see them as a shiny little flash of light that darts across. The old forces arranged even more of them around me. But I've been eliminating them in large quantities."

We then realized that these flashing dots were most likely the dark minions arranged by the old forces.

As the Fa-rectification advances, the evil beings have been annihilated in large quantities. I have noticed that the flashing dots of light have become fewer and fewer, and recently I have seldom seen them.

Some practitioners and I went to send forth righteous thoughts outside the enclosing walls of a prison. I noticed that the flashing dots of light there were abundant. Some were big and some were small. There were many of them. The prisons, forced labor camps and brainwashing centers in China are the main gathering places of the evil beings. As the evil forces have been drastically eliminated, more and more of them have retreated to these dark dens.

Last year, Master said:

"As a result of the righteous thoughts that Dafa disciples have put into validating the Fa and saving the world's people, the complete dissolution of the evil beings and elements that play a negative role and persecute Dafa disciples is taking place. Right now, there are only a small number of evil, rotten demons, and they are being concentrated by the old forces in labor camps, jails, and other dark dens that are taking part in persecuting Dafa disciples. This has caused the evil's persecution to remain severe in certain, limited areas. In order to completely eliminate the persecution of Dafa disciples by the dark minions, rotten demons, and old forces, all Dafa disciples around the world--particularly the Dafa disciples in each region of mainland China--are to concertedly send righteous thoughts toward those evil places, thoroughly dissolving all evil beings and elements that persecute Dafa disciples, clearing away the evil circumstances under which Dafa disciples are persecuted in mainland China, and saving the world's people, [thereby] fulfilling the duties of a Dafa disciple and advancing toward godhood." ("Thoroughly Dissolve the Evil")

After sending forth righteous thoughts outside the enclosing walls of the prison, I shared with practitioners about going in close proximity to the local labor camps and prisons more frequently to send forth righteous thoughts. The purpose is to completely dissolve the evil beings and elements that persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, to strengthen the righteous thoughts of practitioners imprisoned in the dark dens, and to reduce and eliminate the persecution suffered by the practitioners there. However, some practitioners did not think it was necessary to go near the dark dens to send forth righteous thoughts. They believed that it made no difference where we sent righteous thoughts. They thought a trip to the dark dens would take too much time, and we could better utilize that time to send more righteous thoughts or to study the Fa.

My personal understanding is that it is very necessary to send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity to the evil dark dens. Each practitioner can decide whether to go and when according to their personal situation. Even though an evil dark den may be located in the city where we live, this dimension is distant from us in time and space as it may be divided into many segments. The gong (energy) that we send out must travel through numerous times and spaces to reach the dark dens of the evil beings.

When we send forth righteous thoughts, if we can be in a state of complete tranquility, the gong we send out will travel across the space and time separations rapidly and drive straight to the dark dens of the evil beings. Otherwise, the power of our gong will be lesser to various degrees. Sending forth righteous thoughts in close proximity can compensate the loss in power when we are not able to achieve a complete tranquil mind. For these reasons it is necessary to send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity to the dark dens of the evil beings.
