By a practitioner in San Diego
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners were invited by the Vision Team of University Christian Church in San Diego to inform the members about the torture and
abuses used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. They focused extra attention
on the crime of live organ harvesting committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
It is hoped that those in attendance will inform churches in their districts and
nationwide about this crime, and that ultimately the case will be submitted to
the World Council of Churches (WCC) so as to help stop the persecution. Members of a church listen to Falun Gong practitioner
clarifying the facts Jack Johnston is member of the board of University Christian Church (also
called Disciples of Christ). He once saw an exhibit held by practitioners in
Balboa Park exposing the CCP's persecution and harvesting organs from living
Falun Gong practitioners. He had a conversation with the practitioners. Mr.
Johnston was shocked after learning about the situation, and immediately signed
the petition to be presented to President Bush and the US Congress asking for a
Congressional Hearing to investigate. He took several brochures saying that he
would discuss the incident with other members of the church council. He said
that the church would stand forward to oppose social injustice and crimes
against humanity. Shortly afterward, two practitioners were invited to make a presentation to
the church council on May 16. The council members wanted to learn more about
Falun Dafa and the cause of the persecution. They also inquired about links to
truth-clarifying materials, articles and websites, so that they could obtain
more information and spread to other church organizations. A practitioner explained to the church council that she had begun to practice
Falun Gong two years ago. Only a few months later, her health was greatly
improved. She said that Falun Gong is a good practice benefiting both mind and
body. This practitioner was born in post-war Germany. The brutality of the Nazis
in Germany made her have a deep sense of mission, to speak out against the
crimes that the CCP has committed against Falun Gong practitioners. The members of the council were shocked at the brutality of the persecution
against Falun Gong practitioners. They had invited the practitioners to make a
ten-minute speech, but it turned out to a 30-minute speech. They sincerely
thanked the practitioners and expressed that they will do their utmost to help
put an end to this evil.
