Woman in Her Seventies Arrested and Sentenced to Forced Labor in Anqiu City, Shandong Province


(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Hui Ruiying, a practitioner from Anqiu City, Shandong Province, firmly believes in the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," and has become a better person as a result. However, she was persecuted for simply doing this.

Ms. Hui is in her seventies and lives in the residential community of the Light Industry Machinery Factory in Anqiu City. At around 9:00 a.m. on June 25, 2007, Bie Yongqian, chief of the Dongguan Police Station in Anqiu City, led several police officers to Ms. Hui's home. They arrested her and took her to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp on the same day.

In May 2007, just three weeks after her release, police officers from Dongguan Police Station arrested Ms. Hui and detained her in the Anqiu Detention Center. There she was tortured to the brink of death.
