Authorities at Wangcun Forced Labor Camp (Shandong Province) Illegally Extend Mr. Wang Housheng's Detention Term

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Housheng, a Falun Gong practitioner from Jinan City, Shandong Province who works for Dazhong Newspaper was taken into custody by the Yucheng Police Department. He was illegally sentenced to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for one-and-a-half years. His detention term was to end on June 30, 2007. Recently, Mr. Wang's family learned that the authorities from the labor camp arbitrarily decided to extend his detention term under the pretext that Mr. Wang refused to be "reformed."

At the end of 2005, Mr. Wang was taken into custody by the Yucheng Police Department and sentenced to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for one-and-a-half years. During the period of detention, Mr. Wang persisted in his belief and refused to be brainwashed. As a result, he was brutally tortured. His detention term was to end on June 30, 2007. Two days ago, Mr. Wang 's family called the labor camp to request his release date. The guard answering the call unreasonably shifted the responsibility onto others.

On June 29, Mr. Wang 's family called the labor camp again. The guard who answered the call claimed that Mr. Wang refused to be "reformed" and did not cooperate with them, so his detention term would be extended. Mr. Wang's family pointed out that that is illegal. The guard answered wickedly, "What is illegal? Is the labor camp run by you? Should we follow what you say?" Then he hung up the phone immediately.

Authorities from the Wangcun Labor Camp have been viciously mistreating Falun Gong practitioners. They had adopted many means and pretexts to delay the release of practitioners who refused to bow to the evil Chinese Communist regime. The Chinese bystanders can see more clearly the hypocritical "society and legal system" flaunted by the Chinese Communist Party. It is impossible to cover the fact that the perpetrators cannot change the practitioners' steadfast belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
