Ms. Cui Lixin in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province Has Been on a Hunger Strike for Seven Days

(Clearwisdom.net) At 8:30 p.m. on June 30, 2007, while in a business trip, Ms. Cui Lixin, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Shijiazhuang City, was taken into custody in the Shijiazhuang City Railway Station by police from the Yucai Street Police Station. The police had already illegally searched her home, stealing a computer, a VCD player, a printer, a fax machine, 6,300 yuan in cash, and a bankbook with a balance of 36,000 yuan

On the morning of June 22, Ms. Cui went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Consequently, she was cruelly tortured by the guards. The guards stepped on her head and twisted her arms, almost breaking them. Later, the guards sent her to a forced-labor camp. The camp refused to accept her because of the poor condition she was in as a result of torture. At present, she is in the Zanhuang County Detention Center.

Cui Lixin was imprisoned in Taihang Jail in Baoding City for over three years. Her child was just over two years old then. Now the child is nine years old and is studying in primary school. Her child is at the age when a mother's care is especially needed. Cui Lixin's mother recently passed away. Since her recent arrest, her elderly father has almost grieved himself to death, and he nearly suffered a mental collapse. Bystanders could hardly bear to see the misery her family has had to endure.

Cui Lixin has been on a hunger strike for seven days now, and her situation is very urgent.
