Ms. Gao Huijie Tortured in Liaoning Women's Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gao Huijie is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Huangu District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. The Chinese Communist regime in Beijing illegally arrested her on August 21, 2005 and detained her in the 2nd Ward of Liaoning Women's Prison. During her detention, the guards tortured her by pouring ice water over her body and depriving her of sleep. She was brutally beaten and needed seven stitches on her lower body. Forced slave labor further ruined her health. She is extremely weak right now.

Ms. Gao is forty-two years old. She was a former secretary of the Communist Youth League in Shenyang Tram and Bus Company. She was mainly in charge of the communist ideological education. Later, she obtained attorney credentials through independent study, and was hired by a private law firm. Ms. Gao used to be thin and weak. In 1996, she began to cultivate Falun Dafa. Her health in both mind and body greatly improved. She became energetic. She worked diligently, was honest and kind-hearted and was filial to seniors.

Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, Ms. Gao has been persecuted repeatedly.

In September 2000, as Ms. Gao persisted in cultivating Falun Gong and clarifying the facts, she was reported to the authorities. She was detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp and persecuted there for nine months.

At noon of August 21, 2005, Ms. Gao was working in her own typewriting store when a group of thugs came to arrest her. They claimed to be police and forced Ms. Gao to go to the nearby Chongshan Police Station. Then they searched Ms. Gao's store and residence without her consent. They confiscated her five laptop computers and a desktop computer without a warrant.

On August 23, 2005, Ms. Gao was escorted to Beijing by over ten police vehicles and her hair was shaved off.

Ms. Gao was illegally detained in the Dongcheng District Detention Center in Beijing. On February 27, 2006, the Dongcheng District Procuratorate in Beijing filed an indictment against her. It is claimed in the indictment that Ms. Gao distributed over 170 Nine Commentaries VCDs in June 2005 nearby the Central Academy of Drama located in Dongcheng District, Beijing. In addition, Falun Gong-related materials were found in the disks, tapes, electronic books and computers that were confiscated illegally from her home.

Ms. Gao Huijie was sentenced to five years of imprisonment. She was imprisoned in the 2nd team of the 2nd Ward in Liaoning Women's Prison.

As soon as Ms. Gao arrived at the prison, she was isolated and detained separately. Because she refused to "transform" and refused to follow orders, the guards ordered other prisoners to beat her and prevent her from sleeping. When they occasionally allowed her to sleep, they didn't provide her with any bedding, and she had to sleep on a board. She got only a plain bun for a meal. The guards and prisoners forced her to read materials that were cooked up to slander Dafa. Prisoner Li Suyin was in her 40's. She was a habitual offender and had been imprisoned repeatedly. This time she was imprisoned for drug addiction. Li often mercilessly beat Ms. Gao. Another prisoner named Li Rongzhi physically and verbally abused Ms. Gao.

Ms. Gao went on a hunger strike to resist the persecution. The guards instigated the prisoners to pour water on her body with a high-pressure pump. Ms. Gao was brutally beaten countless times. Her lower body was injured and needed seven stitches.

Ms. Gao is currently very weak, but she is forced to work long hours on a sewing machine. Her health is very poor. The Women's Prison blocks information for fear of their brutal acts of persecuting Dafa practitioners being exposed. They repeatedly refused requests from Ms. Gao's family to visit her.

Wang Xiaohong, former head of the 2nd ward, once said, "The people's police represent the government. No matter how we order a prisoner to maltreat Falun Gong practitioners, it is fine. If a Falun Gong practitioner is beaten to death, it is regarded as committing suicide. If he dies, he would be thrown out like a dog."
