Practitioners Zhu Xiuzhen and Sun Guizi from the Zhaoyang Area in Beijing Held by Police for Over a Month

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners Zhu Xiuzhen (65 years old) and Sun Guizi (64 years old) from the Zhaoyang Area in Beijing were illegally arrested and detained for more than a month. It is believed that they are still being held in the Changying Detention Center in the Zhaoyang Area. The authorities threatened to send them to forced labor. Zhu's son, Guo Weimin, has already been sentenced to prison for 10 years by the Beijing Second Middle Court, because he persisted in practicing Falun Dafa.

On the morning of May 14, 2007, in the suburban area of Shuangliu, truth clarification CDs showed up in the stairwells of many buildings. Some residence who didn't realize the truth turned the CDs in to the residential security committee. On May 15 around 12:30 a.m., the Public Security Bureau in the Zhaoyang Area in Beijing, the County Protection Division, and Sanjianfangxiang sent eight police officers to the home of practitioners Guo Shukao and Zhu Xiuzhen, located in the Plastic and Steel Factory residences in the suburb of Shuangliu, the Shuangqiao Area, the Zhaoyang Area. The family was jolted from sleep and arrested. Personal belongings were confiscated, including a copy of Zhuan Falun, exercise tapes, a hand written copy of Master Li's scripture, a letter, copies of "Minghui Weekly," Notices to "Quit the Chinese Communist Party," and three MP3 players.

First the police took the couple to Sanjianfang Detention Center, where they were interrogated separately until around 6:00 a.m. on May 15. They were asked: "What is your point of view about China persecuting Falun Gong?" (Note: The Chinese Communist Party purposely equates itself to China to confuse people.) The practitioners told them: "The Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong is absolutely wrong." They said that they had been forcefully "transformed" before, but "coercion cannot change people's hearts" so they would not be "transformed" anymore.

In the afternoon on May 15, police sent Zhu Xiuzhen to the Changying Detention Center in Zhaoyang Area for continued detention. By around 7:30 p.m., 73-year-old Guo was released.

Several days before this incident, Zhaoyang Area officials arrested other eights practitioners from the Semi Conductor Factory, including Sun Guizhi (64 years old), Le Xingyun (51 years old), Cao Kongying (56 years old), and Xiaodu, Laozhao.

At present, Zhu Xiuzhen and Sun Guizhi, are still being detained, while others have been released. They are not allowed to have family visits, and can only receive money and other items through others.

Before this happened, practitioner Li Kaozho from Guanzhuangzhoujingdayuan in the Zhaoyang Area was sentenced to forced labor for two years.
