Commentaries on the Communist Party was held at the US Capitol in
Washington D.C., and three Representatives gave speeches. Congresswoman Sheila
Jackson Lee expressed her respect for the twenty-three million Chinese people
who have renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated
organizations. Texas Representative Sheila Jackson Lee of the Democratic
Party commends the 23 million Chinese people who have renounced the CCP Representative Rush Holt expresses the importance of the forum Representative Dana Rohrabacher from California Forum on the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party
held at the US Capitol At the forum, three House Representatives, government officials from many
countries, specialists, and media reporters examined and talked about the harm
that the CCP has brought to Chinese people and people across the world, the wave
of CCP withdrawals, and what awaits the future. Professor Ming Chu-cheng from the Department of Politics at National Taiwan
University said that he noticed that since last October, the number of
withdrawals every month is over one million. So far, among the over-twenty-three
million Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations,
60.5% were former CCP members. Such a large scale withdrawal is occurring for the
first time in the CCP's history, and is thus worth attention. Texas Representative Sheila Jackson Lee of the Democratic Party agreed with
Professor Ming. Congresswoman Lee thanked the twenty-three million Chinese
people who have quit the CCP. She said that she did not wish to see the CCP's
crimes and persecution to continue, yet it is still happening. She encouraged
more Chinese people to quit. Representative Rush Holt of the Democratic Party said the forum was very
important. He said that the US Congress would continue to exert pressure to the
CCP for violating the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners and other Chinese
people. California Representative Dana Rohrabacher of the Republican Party expressed
his respect for the brave Chinese people facing the CCP's brutal persecution,
imprisonment, and live-organ harvesting, and for stepping forward to speak out.
He said this forum lets American people understand the real China. He said that
we should cooperate with Chinese people but not with the persecutors. Mr. Huang Wei-feng, Vice-Representative of the Taiwan Economic and Trade
Office, hoped that Chinese people would awaken and fight for their rights until
successful. Dr. Samuel Zhou, Vice-President of New Tang Dynasty TV, said at the forum,
"If the CCP cannot control information and people's thoughts, then the CCP
cannot exist." Washington think-tank experts, media reporters, officials of foreign
embassies in the US, and staff working in the US Capitol attended the forum. The
Epoch Times, NTDTV, Sound of Hope, and the YouMaker Website conducted a full
live broadcast of the forum. Mr. Stephen Gregory, editor of The Epoch Times and host of the forum,
said this was the first forum on the Nine Commentaries held at the US
Capitol since the publication of the Nine Commentaries two-and-a-half
years ago.
