Wang Xianghui in Baoding City, Hebei Province Persecuted to the Verge of Death


(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Xianghui, in Li County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, was sentenced to prison for pre-empting cable TV broadcasts with videos clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was incarcerated in Baoding Prison and persecuted to the verge of death. Please take note of this case.

In order to reveal the lies and stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China, in August 2002, Mr. Wang Xianghui and his fellow practitioners cut into the TV cable within Baoding City and broadcast truth clarification videos including "False Fire" and "Falun Dafa Spreads all over the World." He was abducted on August 28, by policemen from the National Security Team in Xushui County.

Mr. Wang was first detained in the Xushui County Detention Center for 14 months where he was subjected to all manners of persecution. His legs suffered severe frostbite and he could not stand or walk for a long time. He also suffered from serious stomach pain and could not eat for a long time, becoming as thin as a rail. He was on the verge of death many times and was taken to an emergency hospital each time.

Wang Xianghui was again sentenced in October 2003, and was detained in the Second Team of the First Ward in Baoding Prison. In order to resist the persecution and illegal sentence, he went on an extended hunger strike.

After Mr. Wang was persecuted for about five years, his health deteriorated significantly. Aside from his stomach pain, which was getting worse, he also suffered from enteritis, colonitis, prostatitis, and a tumor on his chest. He could not even move a little bit for many days. Long-term mental and physical persecution and sicknesses put him on the verge of death.

People in prison tried to hide Wang Xianghui's health condition from his family and limited his meetings with his family. At the beginning, his family was allowed to meet with him once every two months. Later, once every four months, and it has now been about six months since his family has met with him. His parents, who also practice Falun Gong, were especially limited in meeting with him. Mr. Wang Xianghui has been illegally detained in the prison for about four years. His parents have only been allowed to see him a few times.
