Clarifying the Truth With Compassion
By Xin Xing, a practitioner in China
(Clearwisdom.net) On the basis of studying the Fa well, no matter what
I'm doing, I always send forth righteous thoughts whenever I'm out walking. To
clarify the truth to the people I encounter while shopping, I always choose
vendors that have few buyers. I start by asking them how business is going, then
I move onto asking them about Falun Gong. If they are willing to listen to me, I
tell them that Falun Gong teaches people to follow
Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance and that it is miraculous in improving
physical health. I tell them about the persecution and that the Chinese
Communist Party (CCP) has done many evil deeds and will soon be eliminated.
Finally, I ask people to quit the CCP for their own best interests. One time I clarified the truth at an egg market. The owners, a young couple,
were very willing to learn the true facts. I later took them a few copies of
"Minghui Weekly" and told them to read carefully and distribute
them among friends and family. They accepted them happily. I told them that the
next time I went shopping I would bring them more materials. The couple truly
has a predestined relationship. After two weeks, I took them a copy of the
Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and materials on
quitting the CCP. They told me how her father-in-law had read the material. I
told them that I could help them quit the CCP over the Internet. When I visited
them again, they had prepared a list of 7-8 names of people who wanted to quit
the CCP and asked me to help publish them on-line. Teacher mentioned in "Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005:" "And what is more, you are truly saving people--openly and with
dignity saving their very being--and they will be able to sense that. On top
of that, as you go about clarifying the truth, the benevolence you exude and
the righteous thoughts you project disintegrate the evil, awakening those
lives you save and causing them to recover their very selves, and that can
lead a person to truly come to rationally see these things for himself. And of
course, as soon as people wake up, things are immediately different." One day, I met a man from Henan who was a skilled knife sharpener. He told
me, in a fit of anger, that his tools and bicycle were stolen while he was
negotiating with someone just 10 yards away. Later, he asked a motorcycle rider
behind him for help, and spent 100 yuan to get them back. I immediately replied,
"Yeah, the CCP police never catch thieves, they just go for innocent Falun
Gong practitioners." He agreed. I told him that I would go home to get two
knifes for him to sharpen. While he was working on my knives, I clarified the
truth to him and told him that the CCP was destined be eliminated, and gave him
various Dafa materials. I asked him to cherish them and pass them around among
his friends and families and that they could bring him boundless benefits. Two months later, I met him again on the street. I gave him a copy of the Nine
Commentaries and other materials, and at the same time, asked him with
compassion whether he was doing well in his life and business. He said
everything was going well. This March/April, he waited for me on the street. It
was such a coincidence that I came late to pick up my child, hence running into
him. He told me that he went back to his hometown during Chinese New Year.
People in his hometown read the Nine Commentaries and many people quit
the CCP. I was truly happy for him. More lives were awakened and saved. I
noticed that his face looked more healthy and younger. I gave him more Dafa
materials and six charm amulets. I enlightened during the process of clarifying the truth and asking people to
quit CCP that our hearts must be pure and we should talk with compassion, and
not at too high a level about the principles. Nowadays Chinese people are very
poisoned by the CCP, so we have to talk from a perspective that they are able to
understand in order to break their barriers to understanding the Nine
Commentaries and quitting the CCP. Due to my limited understanding, fellow practitioners, please compassionately
point out if there is anything inappropriate. July 10, 2007 |
