Exposing the Crimes Committed Against Falun Gong Practitioners in Nanjing Women's Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) The Nanjing Women's Prison sent Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhou Zhiying from Huaiyin, Jiangsu Province to the Pukou Mental Hospital to be persecuted for persisting in her beliefs and refusing to be "transformed." Every day the mental hospital forced her to take drugs that could damage the central nervous system and seriously harm her body. They also used the so-called "electro-therapy" to persecute her (it is much more painful than shocks from an electric baton).

Ms. Zhou Zhiying was illegally sentenced for four years, and has been detained at the Nanjing Women's Prison. She was subjected to brutal physical and mental torture in the prison. In attempts to force her to give up her belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," the prison police forbade her from buying any of the basic daily necessities. When Zhou Zhiying had her menstrual period, she did not have any sanitary napkins. On one occasion a criminal who was in charge of monitoring her quietly gave her a sanitary napkin, but it was discovered by the prison police, and the criminal was severely punished. Normally Zhou Zhiying had to use her clothes and bed sheets in lieu of sanitary napkins.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Jili from Lianyungang City has been illegally detained at the Nanjing Women's Prison. Since she refused to be "transformed," she was brutally tortured every day. The police punished her by forcing her to stand for long hours. They beat her and shocked her using electric batons. They also reduced her food ration every day, and only allowed her to eat a little rice and pickles (or dried radish). She became very weak and thin due to persecution in the prison. Later she was sent to the Liyang Hospital in Changzhou City to be persecuted further.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xiurong from Xuzhou City has been locked inside of a prison cell for more than a year. The police have brutally tortured her, including shocking her with an electric baton.

Some Falun Gong practitioners who refused to be "transformed" were detained at the meeting building at Nanjing Women's Prison since it was more isolated, and since it is easier for the police to persecute Falun Gong practitioners there. Zhang Lihua, Zhu Liling and some other practitioners were detained here and suffered more brutal torture.

Some Falun Gong practitioners were detained at a brainwashing session (it was called "study class" by the CCP) even after their terms were over because they did not cooperate with the prison police's unreasonable requests. The prison officials actively cooperated with the 610 Office to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. In order to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, sometimes they broke the prison rules that they themselves had made. Falun Gong practitioner Wang Jiping was sent to the prison sitting in her wheelchair after she was beaten to the point of paralysis by the police. She is currently still being subjected to torture from the prison guards every day.
