Washington DC: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Anti-Torture Exhibition in Front of Lincoln Memorial (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Every July since 1999, Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world have held activities opposing the persecution in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. On July 21, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners came here again to hold an anti-torture exhibition exposing the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutality.

Clarifying the truth to tourists

Practitioners displayed banners which read "Stop the Organ Harvesting," and "Stop the Persecution - Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice." Practitioners from New York also performed dragon and lion dances to attract tourists.

Many tourists were attracted to the event. Practitioners clarified the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution to visitors and gave them materials. Kevin Do, a practitioner who performed the dances, said, "We come here every year to raise awareness. The purpose of the dances is not just to entertain people, but also show them the peaceful Chinese culture which has been ruined by the CCP. We want people to learn about the persecution when they are enjoying the traditional Chinese dances."

A practitioner told the reporter that Chinese people in D.C. have changed a lot. He talked to many Chinese people in front of the Memorial today, and most of them were willing to learn the facts about the persecution.
