National Security Team of Yushu City, Jilin Province Recently Arrested Many Falun Dafa Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Deqing (male), head of the National Security Team of the police department of Yushu City, Jilin Province, and Shi Hailin (male), with the local police station, searched the houses of and illegally arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Cui Zhanyun, Mr. Liu Shihua, Mr. Man Shujie, Mr. Man Yongjia, Mr. Zuo Zhongren, Ms. Di (given name unknown), and Ms. Jin Shujun.

On the morning of July 10, 2007, police officers from the Zhengyang Police Station (one of whom was surnamed Lu) broke into the homes of Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Man Shujie and Mr. Zuo Zhongren without cause and arrested three practitioners. On the same evening, officers of the Peiying Police Station arrested practitioners Mr. Cui Zhanyun and Mr. Liu Shihua in Peiying District. Officers from the Huachang Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Jin Shujun, who worked at a city hospital.

Mr. Cui Zhanyun has been arrested seven times. His daughter Ms. Li Shuhua died as a result of torture at the National Security Team of Yushu City and the Yushu Detention Center (previously reported on Clearwisdom.net). Mr. Cui's son-in-law, Mr. Yang Zhanjiu, was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment, and he is now detained in Sipingshiling Prison. His lower body has been paralyzed due to torture. Now, only Mr. Cui's wife, 60, and two grandchildren remain at home.

Also on July 10, the home of a practitioner with the surname Wang was also searched, but nothing was found. The practitioner was not arrested. Another male practitioner's house was also searched. Falun Dafa books and a suitcase that held the books were confiscated. The practitioner escaped.

While the practitioners were being arrested, officers from the Peiying and Zhengyang Street Police Station destroyed the posted sayings, "Falun Dafa is Great" and "Heaven will Eliminate the Chinese Communist Party."

The arrested practitioners are now detained in the Yushu City Detention Center.
