Until The Last Day of the Persecution: Truth-Clarification at Tourist Spots in Taiwan (Part I) (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) "Hello! Welcome to Taiwan!" Falun Gong practitioners greet groups of tourists from China with smiles and high spirits.

Falun Gong practitioners continue to clarify the truth to tourists from China at the National Palace Museum

According to a government survey, Taiwan is the place Chinese people most want to visit. The National Palace Museum is one of the tourist spots they look forward to seeing.

Since July 20, 1999, Jiang's regime has been using the entire state propaganda machine to slander and spread lies about Falun Gong. To tell the deceived Chinese people the true story of Falun Gong, practitioners in Taiwan spend their own money and time to hold long-term "truth-clarification" activities at tourist spots. Their display boards and banners have become part of the scenery, rain or shine. With their great compassion, they call for people to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mei Yu believes that she has the responsibility to tell the precious Chinese people the true story of Falun Gong. She and her fellow practitioners made their own display boards and banners and took them to the National Palace Museum.

The administration of the museum didn't know at first why a group of people with banners and boards would be at the square every day. The guards tried to stop the Falun Gong practitioners. But after hearing their truth-clarification and observing their activities, the administration began to understand their unselfish efforts and gave them great support.

On the square of the palace is a large white banner stating, "Ask the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) to Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong" in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. Practitioners do the Falun Gong exercises in a group. Next to them are photos exposing the CCP's persecution of the Chinese people over the past fifty years. A TV plays a video of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Printed materials in different languages are available too. Tour guides often lead their groups to the practitioners' booth and Falun Gong becomes a museum tourist stop.

How do the Chinese tourists respond to the truth, which is so contrary to the CCP's deceitful propaganda? Ms. Hu said that many Chinese tourists take pictures of the display after they have a look at it. When they were being monitored by other people in their group, many of them pretended to take pictures of nearby scenes, but still kept their eyes and ears open to our truth-clarification.

Under the influence of the CCP's lies, some tourists asked Falun Gong practitioners how much they were paid to come to the site. Mei Yu would calmly tell them that one hundred million Falun Gong practitioners around the world have stepped out to clarify the truth since July 20, 1999. It has been seven or eight years since they have been doing this. How can anyone afford to pay them?

Regarding the CCP's lies about Falun Gong colluding with "anti-China forces," Mei Yu would tell them that the wide spread of Falun Gong around the world is the pride of the Chinese people. The CCP kills the Chinese people and destroys the Chinese culture. It is the true anti-China force. A doctor from China kept nodding when he heard this.

With regard to the cruel fact of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and the CCP being unable to respond to the charge, most tourists would listen quietly and would not quote the CCP's official propaganda to refute the practitioners' explanations.

Mei Yu and Ms. Hu said that most Chinese people were kind-hearted. They were just deceived and terrified by the CCP. One time a group of tourists dared not to accept truth-clarification materials. Mei Yu said, "We are brothers and sisters. We should help each other instead of monitoring each other at this critical point of history." They looked at each other, smiled and accepted truth-clarification materials.

Ms. Hu said she could tell the pressure of Chinese tourists living under the CCP's strong-arm rule. Many people dared not to look at truth-clarification materials directly. They would secretively take a quick glance at it. Mei Yu did her best to tell them the truth loudly. When Chinese tourists returned to their van and watched out of the window, Mei Yu would hold up a display board for them to read. She is a small lady of 1.5 meter tall but held the board high. After they finished reading one board, she would go back to get another one. When their van left, they gave her the thumbs-up and waved at her. The thankful expressions on their faces gave Mei Yu strength and encouragement to continue with truth-clarification at the Palace Museum.

Falun Gong practitioners persist in their truth-clarification at the Palace Museum, rain or shine. Some of them are housewives. Some have jobs. Some are elderly. In the past few years, they have traveled a long way to the museum in suburban Taipei in their spare time to tell people that Falun Dafa is good and the CCP should stop the persecution immediately. Through their compassionate efforts, many people have learned of the brutal persecution and support practitioners' efforts to bring an end to it. During the meeting about Falun Gong's application for a permit to hold truth-clarification activities at the Palace Museum, a high-level administrator of the museum said that all tourist spots around the world have Falun Gong practitioners calling for a stop to the persecution. On land supporting democracy and human rights, the Palace Museum has no reason to decline such an application. It should join the call and give support!
