Sweden: Swedish Practitioners Raise Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, 2007, eight years after the persecution of Falun Gong began in China, Falun Gong practitioners from all over Sweden gathered in Kalmar. Kalmar is a small city in southeast Sweden where local practitioners have, for several years, informed the media and the public about the persecution in China. The response has been very positive and practitioners have been supported by local newspapers.

In September, a trade project between the city of Kalmar and Chinese corporations will be initiated. This has given Swedish practitioners the opportunity to inform more people about the human rights crimes in China, especially the persecution of Falun Gong.

On this sunny summer day, Swedish practitioners held a rally at the square in central Kalmar, to inform the media and the public about the persecution. Several practitioners spoke, (with the help of loudspeakers), about the persecution from different perspectives and also about the cultivation method of Falun Gong. They talked about the horrifying systematic organ harvesting that has been ongoing secretly in Chinese labor camps, with Falun Gong practitioners being the principle victims. An independent Canadian report tells convincingly that organ harvesting from living Falun Gong prisoners has been going on since 2000. The victims die in the process and are cremated to destroy the evidence. The sources of about 41,000 transplants are missing and several Chinese hospitals have advertised organ transplants with organ availability at an unbelievably quick time frame. These types of facts have convinced countless people that the horrible allegation that the Chinese Communist Party is harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners is true.

The local newspaper Barometern came to report on our activity.
