Ireland: Practitioners Hold a Rally and March Calling for an End to the Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of July 21, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners held a rally and march in Dublin, capital of Ireland, supporting the 24 million Chinese people who have withdrawn from the CCP and calling on all circles of society to help end the persecution of Falun Gong, which has now entered its ninth year.

The march started from Parnel Square at the center of Dublin and passed by Parnel Street, where many Chinese businesses are located. The march was followed by a rally.

During the march, some practitioners held banners worded "Falun Dafa is good", "The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance", "Supporting 24 million Brave People Who Quit the CCP", "Disintegrate the CCP and Stop the Persecution" and "Gods will Destroy the CCP, Save yourself by Quitting the CCP", and some distributed truth-clarification literature.

Many passers-by read the literature, as they were very much concerned with the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Many people in Chinatown talked about it, thinking that Falun Gong was such a good thing. A lady who has been living in Ireland for 15 years said, "Although I am very much interested in Chinese traditional culture, it is also the first time for me to hear about Falun Dafa. I can hardly believe that organ removal from living people is happening right now in China. I hope that we can stop the persecution. People need freedom of belief." She helped practitioners distributing literature by following the march. In doing so, she hoped that more people would learn about the persecution in China.

Ms. Yanan from the Irish Branch of the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP spoke at the rally. She said, "Since Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published in 2004, the Irish Service Center for Quitting the CCP has printed almost 40,000 copies of literature such as the Nine Commentaries and persuaded Chinese people to quit the CCP. Now many Chinese people have made declarations of quitting the CCP and its associated organizations on the Epoch Times website. The CCP will soon collapse. These eight years have witnessed how diligent and unyielding Falun Gong practitioners are. The international voice against the persecution is growing louder and louder. It is getting more and more difficult for the CCP to carry on its persecution.
