Learning the Truth about Falun Gong Through a Life-Threatening Incident

(Clearwisdom.net) Before describing what happened to me, please allow me to first say from the bottom of my heart, "Falun Dafa is good! Master Li is great! I thank Master for saving my life."

I grew up under the influence of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and believed in the CCP and had a twisted concept of values. I ended up at the bottom of society and fought for everything in life. I got eventually involved with drugs and started taking drugs. When I had realized what had happened, my life had already been a living hell. I was so grieved I wished I were dead.

In 2001, I was locked in a drug rehabilitation center in Wubei Province. One day a new person arrived at the center. I looked at her from my cell window. I saw in her a kind and friendly lady who seemed to be similar in age to my mother, and was a person with righteous demeanor. I was confused and wondered why such a good person was detained here. I asked the police for the reason of her detention. The police told me that she is a Falun Gong practitioner. At that moment, for no reason, my mind was shocked and I felt indescribably sad. Why does the CCP detain such a good person? What CCP did to detain Falun Gong practitioners was such an evil act. When she passed by my cell, I stared at her and became emotional. I shouted, "Long live Falun Gong! Long life for Li Hongzhi!" I wanted to let the lady know she was not alone, and that I understood her and supported her belief.

She had already passed my cell, but she paused and walked back toward me. She reached out her hands to me and told me, "Wow, you are also here, and take care." She cried. A warm current flowed throughout my body from her hands. I cried and said to her, "Be strong!" The police took her by her arms and removed her by force. She turned around and stared at them for while and then left. That scene has been imprinted on my mind. It was so real that I could never forget it.

Several days later, we were lining up at the drill ground. Many Falun Gong practitioners gathered there. I was excited and started shouting, "Long live Falun Gong! Long life for Li Hongzhi!" As soon as I said that, police handcuffed me and held my arms up like an airplane, and hung me in the shape of a flying airplane. I was in that position for an hour and I felt as if my nerves and blood vessels were inflated and my whole body was going to explode. It was so painful that I lost consciousness. Many inmates have experienced this kind of torture. They would in five minutes cry out and beg for release. However, all jailed Falun Gong practitioners who have experienced this kind of torture, no matter whether they were male or female, would not make a sound. No matter how long the torture lasted, they would never beg the police. I was wondering why they were so extraordinarily brave. I was greatly admiring Falun Gong practitioners who firmly persisted in their belief.

In October 2004, I was involved in a big car accident. A small truck hit me as I walked across the street. I was first knocked down to the ground, then became airborne and landed on the ground again twenty meters away from where I was hit. I awoke from a coma in a hospital three days after the accident. I was in a body cast and bandaged everywhere. A hole in my head required a dozen stitches. My four limbs and pelvis were fractured. Several ribs were broken. I was told that I almost bled to death at the scene. Doctors told me it was a miracle that I survived. I was discharged from the hospital seven days later and started walking within in a month after that, and had nearly recovered my full walking ability six months later. Eventually I had successfully quit my drug habit.

In June 2007, I met one of my middle school classmates who is a Falun Gong practitioner. She told me the facts about Falun Gong. By then I had a basic understanding of Falun Gong. I was fortunate enough to read Zhuan Falun and suddenly realized that because I had said, "Long live Falun Gong! Long life for Li Hongzhi!" Master saved my life from that big disaster and changed my bad luck into good fortune. Falun Gong is miraculous! There are truly gods and Buddhas.
