Ms. Tang Xingyun from Shenyang Dies from Electric Shock Torture --Police Use Threats to Silence Her Family (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Tang Xingyun, a Dafa practitioner from Shenyang City, was distributing Dafa truth-clarification materials on March 10, 2007. That evening a person reported her and she was arrested by Shashan police. At the police station, ten policemen shocked her with eight electric batons and Ms. Tang died on the spot.

On March 13, during the funeral ceremony, over thirty policemen (including some plainclothes police) surrounded Ms. Tang's home. They said to her family in a threatening manner, "You can only tell others that she died because she fell down when selling fruit. If you tell people the truth, the whole family will be detained!"

Ms. Tang Xingyun was 65 years old. Before she obtained Dafa, she had high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and other ailments. She suffered illnesses for a long time. In 1996, she obtained Dafa. She cultivated herself by studying the Fa and lived according to "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance". Not long after she began practicing, she recovered from all her illnesses. She truly experienced the joy of having no illness. She became a warm and kindhearted person. She promoted Dafa by telling people her own experiences. Many heard about Dafa and then began to practice because of her.

Tang Xingyun was very diligent in Fa study and practice. Whenever it was her turn to read aloud during group study, she read very slowly. Once a fellow practitioner asked her to read faster. She replied, "What's the rush? Every word in the book has Teacher's image and I want to see them clearly."

After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Tang Xingyun did not forget her historic mission as a Dafa practitioner. She persisted in promoting and validating Dafa in that difficult situation. Not long after the persecution began, she was taken away by local policemen. They asked her to identify Dafa practitioners on a name list provided by the police. Tang Xingyun told the police her own cultivation experience and how she followed the requirement of "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance" in her daily life and the positive changes she had experienced since beginning the practice. She also clarified the truth of the persecution. She held a policeman's hand and told him how good Falun Dafa is and told him not to arrest any of the practitioners. Then this policeman said, "Okay. Okay. Go home." He then sent her home.

Not only did Tang Xingyun clarify the truth to people face-to-face, but she also distributed truth-clarification materials. She also helped prepare the truth-clarification materials using her pension. Once she heard that the materials center was short of money. She donated all of her savings to the materials center.

Tang Xingyun was not afraid of anything when she tried to help detained fellow practitioners. In 2001, when a fellow practitioner escaped from the authorities, in spite of the police surveillance, she went to visit this practitioner and encouraged him to do well in his cultivation.

Tang Xingyun's family and other relatives were poisoned by the evil party for a long time and they are afraid of the evil party. They are very upset about her being persecuted to death, but they dare not talk about it. It is still not clear exactly how Tang Xingyun died.
