Cases of Karmic Retribution in Shandong and Hebei Provinces

Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution.

Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Zhang Dechen from Taoxu Town in Mengyin County of Shandong Province Paid for His Deed

Zhang Dechen, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary at Geng Jia Zhuang Brigade, reported Falun Dafa practitioners twice for profit.

Two Dafa practitioners from another town were clarifying the truth in Geng Jia Zhuang Restaurant in 2001. Zhang Dechen heard them and called the Taoxu Town Police Station, but there was no answer. He then rode his motorcycle to the police station to report the two practitioners. He was paid 500 yuan and headed home. On the way, he was thrown off his motorcycle and lost consciousness when it landed on top of him.

Later, he told people, "I felt an old man in white cloth clutching at my neck very hard when I passed out." Gods and Buddhas gave Zhang this opportunity to awaken. However, he did not think about regret, but rather continued to look for more chances to benefit himself.

Ms. Wang Hong and her husband are from Caozhuang in Mengyin Town. Her husband was persecuted for practicing Falun Gong and became homeless and destitute to avoid further persecution. On the afternoon of June 27, 2007, Ms. Wang could take it no more as she missed her husband too much. She went through the streets yelling her husband's name in Geng Jia Zhuang of Taoxu Town. Ms. Wang was reported to the police by Zhang Dechen. Li Zhaofa (Taoxu Town 610 Office head), Qi Zhaohai (director at Taoxu Town Police Station), Zhang Hongmeng (chief of Taoxu Town Birth Control and Planning Committee), Mo Guangliang (a worker) and 4 others took Ms. Wang into custody. Then they immediately took Ms. Wang's mother, Gong Xiuai from Bao Jia Zhuang in Taoqu Town, as well as Sun Shizhen and Zhou Chuanzhen from Geng Jia Zhuang into custody. Ms. Wang Hong was released due to mental distress. That afternoon, practitioners Gong Xiuai, Sun Shizhen and Zhou Chuanzhen were transferred to Mengyin. They are now illegally detained at the Mengyin County 610 Office. Gong Xiuai has been tortured so badly that she has difficulty walking.

Luan Yuxin, political commissar of Liaocheng City Police Station in Shandong, has executed high level orders to persecute Falun Gong practitioners since July 20, 1999. His actions have resulted in the severe persecution of many Falun Dafa practitioners. He now has cancer and is at the Beijing hospital.

Jizhou Police Officer Gao Shufan Receives Karmic Retribution

Gao Shufan was born in Yuanzhuang of Zaoyuan, Jizhou City, Hebei Province. As the former director of Xuzhuang Village Police Station, he was once the chief culprit in persecuting Dafa practitioners. Police officers Guo Shuangnian, Zhao Jiantang and others under his command brutally beat practitioners by punching, kicking and hitting them. The practitioners remained steadfast in their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, but Gao Shufan and his officers do not care if the practitioners are beaten to death. The beaten ones sustained black and purple bruises all over their bodies, but were still forced to kneel under the hot sun for days. The officers use electric batons to torture the practitioners for several hours at a time and force them to work. After long-term torture, many practitioners were left with blue and purple bodies, swollen mouths and blackened faces and were lacking normal voluntary control of excretory functions. The officers kicked Xia Chunyin in the face wearing leather shoes and beat her in front of her young son. Later, Xia Chunyin was sent to a labor camp and her son has been mentally unstable for two years.

Gao Shufan has taken practitioners into custody and has demanded money from their families. More then 10 people each had 7,000 "yuan" extorted from them. Gao also fined the practitioners 7,000 yuan each. A family was fined 7,000 yuan if both the husband and wife practiced Dafa. Gao brought economic difficulties to families who are not wealthy. Gao also sent six Xuzhuang practitioners to a forced labor camp and three to prison. Gao was later appointed director of Xiaozai Village Police Station. As directed by the Yizhou 610 Office, he led a group to search for practitioner Ms. Zuo Shuling. As a result, Ms. Zuo was unable to go to work.

While Gao was assistant director at Yizhou Prison in mid June 2007, he took detainees home to visit, eat and drink without authorization. It so happened that the Hengshui Procurator went to the prison on inspection and found the prison short of prisoners. Gao was arrested and he is now detained in Shenzhen City.
