Taiwan: Kinmen County Council Member Strongly Condemns Deportation of Falun Gong Practitioners (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of July 17, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in Kinmen County, Taiwan, visited Council Member Tsai Shwui-you regarding the illegal deportation of Falun Gong practitioners by the Hong Kong government. Falun Gong practitioner Wang Jyun-fa said he wished to take the opportunity of the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's handover to China to participate in the parade and to tell the people in Hong Kong about the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), especially the crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. To his surprise, he was wrapped in an anti-riot blanket and violently deported even though he had a valid visa.

Falun Gong practitioners visit Kinmen County Council Member Tsai Shwui-you on July 17 regarding the illegal deportation of Falun Gong practitioners by the Hong Kong government.

The CCP repeatedly claims the policy of "one country two systems" in Hong Kong won't change within fifty years. However, the large scale deportation indicates that the Hong Kong government is under the control of the CCP and has lost human rights and the rule of law.

Mr. Tsai said he would call together council members to jointly condemn the Hong Kong government. He first signed an open letter to the country's Chief Executive, Donald Tsang, entitled, "Strongly Condemn the Hong Kong Government for their Violent Deportation of Hundreds of Taiwanese Falun Gong Practitioners Before July 1."

Mr. Tsai said he had always supported and recognized Falun Gong practitioners' efforts. The human rights of Falun Gong practitioners was his concern. He had communicated with other members of the council regarding the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP. They planned to condemn such an atrocity. He also told his family and friends not to receive organ transplants in China. Obtaining organs from unknown sources could cause harm to themselves and others.

Falun Gong practitioner Chen Jin-ding said the Hong Kong government had yielded to the CCP and caused damage to Taiwanese by refusing entry to them. She hoped the Hong Kong government would make it up by apologizing openly to the unjustly treated people. She also called for Taiwanese to see clearly the CCP's deception of "one country, two systems." Chen said Kinmen was closer to China since the three-exchange policy was implemented. She was concerned that the CCP would resort to violence against other people from Kinmen, since it had already instructed the Hong Kong government to mistreat Falun Gong practitioners pursuing Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. Paying attention to the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners is the same as paying attention to all people of Kinmen who travel to China.
