(Clearwisdom.net) According to a recently-released prisoner who was asked by the guards to monitor Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Du Mingliang at the Nantong City Prison, Jiangsu Province, guards at the prison handcuffed Ms. Du Mingliang and kept her in solitary confinement. They deprived her of sleep, gave her little to eat and no personal hygiene necessities. They even put a poisonous snake into her room to frighten her.

Ms. Lu Mingliang, 56, lives at Qinghe District, Huaian City, Jiangsu Province. She went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong on December 25, 1999. Police officer Chang Shulin and Security Section Chief Tang took her back to her hometown and illegally detained her at the Qinghe District Police Department for 15 days. On June 18, 2000, officers from the Qinghe District Police Department ransacked her home, taking away a set of Dafa books, two sets of Dafa lectures on audio, and a set of Dafa lectures on video. On December 14, 2000, Chang Shulin deceived Ms. Du into going to the Changxi Police Station, Huaian City, saying that they just wanted to verify some facts. She was then taken to an institution for mental patients, and the police put handcuffs and foot shackles on her. Five days later, she was secretly taken to the Judong City Women's Forced Labor Camp, Jiangsu Province for two-and-a-half years of forced labor. Her sentence was arbitrarily extended by three months at the end.

Ms. Du was brutally tortured at the Judong City Women's Forced Labor Camp. Instigated by the guards, criminal inmates beat her fiercely and broke her leg. She vomited blood for a long time. When she was released from the forced labor camp on September 15, 2003, she was emaciated and extremely weak.

In December 2004, Ms. Du went to her hometown of Shanghai. On December 6, 2004, she was arrested by officers from the Huangpu Police Department, Shanghai and detained for 15 days for exposing the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong.

Later she went back to Huaian City. She was arrested on June 28, 2005 for distributing printed materials explaining the facts about Falun Gong and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Police officers Wang Jianhuai, Chang Shulin and Cai Zibin slapped her face, forced her to bend down for long periods of time and deprived her of sleep. The torture sessions sometimes triggered convulsions and nervous breakdowns.
