Clarifying the Truth to Foreign Visitors in China

(Clearwisdom.net) I used to think that all people outside of China would easily come to know the truth about Falun Gong because information is not censored and blocked in other countries. However, I have found that many people from other countries still don't deeply understand the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. Through face-to-face truth clarification and providing them with opportunities to learn about Falun Gong, those who have a predestined relationship with the Fa can find the path of cultivation.

"Hello, my name is David. Nice to meet you." When the blond middle-aged man in front of me introduced himself, I was surprised that he spoke Chinese so fluently. On the way to the factory, David told me that he is an American and that he studied Chinese in Taiwan and China. He also mentioned that his home is in San Francisco. I told him that our most respected Falun Gong Teacher lives in the U.S., that I have practiced Falun Gong for almost nine years, that I have benefited a lot from it, and that I no longer need to go to the hospital and take medication. David told me that he had seen practitioners doing the exercises together in San Francisco. He said that he did not approach them to learn more, as people in San Francisco do not like to interrupt others. He now wanted to learn more about Falun Gong.

I told him that Falun Gong is a traditional Chinese cultivation practice that focuses on spiritual improvement by requiring that practitioners to discipline themselves according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and that this is called the cultivation of xinxing. I then told him that Falun Gong includes five sets of exercises because the practice improves both mind and body. I also told him that the number of people who practice Falun Gong is enormous, and that the practice is currently being cruelly persecuted in China.

It was very difficult for David, who was born in a country that allows freedom of belief, to understand that the Communist Party could use the "government" to persecute practitioners, who hold a firm belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I gave David the example of a practitioner who refuses to give up practicing Falun Gong: the director of his or her workplace will be fired, the bonus of all the employees will be canceled, and the practitioner's family members will become unemployed. With confirmation of this by his driver, David finally grew to understand the situation. From this he drew the conclusion that what the Chinese Communist government is doing is wrong. He said he had never before met a Chinese who had told him this, and that he appreciated my telling him this. I gave him the Internet address of the Falun Dafa website and encouraged him to learn more about it.

The last time I met a visitor from Taiwan, this person said that there were several colleagues in their factory who were practitioners. After I told him about my personal experience of practicing Falun Gong, he said that he felt very good and that he would ask to learn more from his colleagues after returning to Taiwan.

Another person I met was from Singapore. This person came to China to work as a manager. He said he believed in Buddhism, but he also smoked. It seemed that he does not truly believe in Buddhism. Actually, during this Age of the Law's End, it seems that there are not many people with genuine faith. I shared with him information from "The Buddha School Qigong and Buddhism" in Lecture Three of Zhuan Falun. He seemed to feel that it was very refreshing, and said there had never been anyone in China who spoke with him about cultivation. He immediately said that he wanted to read Zhuan Falun and learn the exercises. I gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun and Master's video that demonstrates the exercises.

A Japanese teacher, who lived in Fukuoka, Japan, recently told me that he had driven across several cities in Japan to find the Falun Gong practice site that I told him about. He saw the peaceful scene of practitioners doing the exercises in Japan. After visiting Clearwisdom.net and learning about the persecution in China, he expressed his condemnation of the atrocities of the Communist regime. He also said that he started to practice and was teaching himself the exercises.

With the expansion of a more global community, the number of foreign visitors coming to China for work, study, or travel is increasing. Let us take any opportunity to save them and clarify the truth to them.
