Philadelphia, USA: Divine Land Marching Band Enters Independence Day Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 4, 2007, the Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of Falun Gong practitioners from Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C., participated in the Independence Day Parade in Philadelphia. Thousands of spectators and millions of TV viewers watched the parade.

The parade started at 6:00 p.m. on Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The Divine Land Marching Band, who had just finished a performance in Washington D.C., performed for Philadelphia. In the light rain, practitioners played the songs, "America, the Beautiful," "Falun Dafa is Good," "Fa Rectifies the Universe," and "Bringing You the Precious," attracting many spectators. Falun Gong practitioners are not strangers to Philadelphia. They have entered six Independence Day Parades in Philadelphia and have a regular group exercise site in front of the Liberty Bell Pavilion.

Many Chinese people were shocked by the band. They smiled and greeted practitioners, some of whom accepted fliers. A Chinese student, who arrived in the city not long ago, told practitioners that he learned the facts about Falun Gong in Chinatown, then read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and quit the Party right away.

Millions of people saw the band's performance on TV. The reporter briefly introduced Falun Gong as a cultivation group that has been persecuted in China for eight years, but brings happiness to people, without any hatred or complaints.

Falun Gong practitioners validate the beauty of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, and validates the evilness of the persecution.
