(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners from Fukuoka and Osaka went to the local Chinese Consulates on July 1, 2007, to protest and strongly condemn the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for ordering Hong Kong authorities to deport Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners also showed their support for the lawsuit that Hong Kong practitioners brought against Jiang Zemin, the prime culprit in the persecution of Falun Gong.
Practitioners protest in front of the Chinese Consulates in Osaka and Fukuoka
On June 28, 2007, two Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong, Chu O Ming and Fu Hsueying, filed a lawsuit to the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region against Jiang Zemin, the former leader of the Chinese Communist Party, Li Lanqing, the former deputy Prime Minister of China and Luo Gan, member of the Politburo Standing Committee, for torture, damages, illegal imprisonment, abuse of power and other crimes, and requested civil compensation. Recently, the Hong Kong authorities strictly limited the entrance of Falun Gong practitioners from overseas, who came to support the lawsuit against Jiang's regime and to participate in the Grand March on July 1. Since June 25, the Hong Kong authorities have used violence to deport about 520 practitioners from Taiwan, Macao and Australia, as well as other countries, with valid visas, in addition to nearly 300 practitioners who have been refused for visas and held at the Hong Kong airport. A total of over 800 Falun Gong practitioners were refused entry into Hong Kong.
Protest in Front of the Chinese Consulate in Fukuoka
Practitioners lined up neatly in front of the Chinese Consulate in Fukuoka,
facing the Consulate building, and unfolded banners reading, "Strongly
Protesting Hong Kong Authorities' Unlawful Deportation of Falun Gong
Practitioners," "Falun Dafa is Great," and " Stop
Persecuting Falun Gong," as well as other banners and posters exposing the
facts of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. The scene attracted many
passersby, and people stopped to read the posters and banners carefully.
At around 4:00 p.m., spectators from the Japanese Professional Baseball Games
passed by the practitioners after the games. Some of them stopped and read the
posters and banners carefully. After learning the facts of the persecution, an
older gentleman told practitioners, "The evil persecution must stop. You
should call the Chinese Consulate to stop the persecution."
Protest in Front of the Chinese Consulate in Osaka
Practitioners of Osaka rallied in front of the Chinese Consulate in Osaka on
July 1 to protest Hong Kong authorities unlawfully preventing practitioners on
the CCP's blacklist from entering Hong Kong, even though they held valid visas.
Practitioner Mr. Toh explained to the reporter that the deportation cases
clearly show the latest attempt at control by the CCP. The CCP ignored its
promise 10 years ago that Hong Kong's social system would remain unchanged for
50 years. Mr. Toh called for more people to understand the CCP with clear minds,
so they can follow the tide of quitting the CCP and choose a beautiful future
for themselves.
According to Ms. Sakamoto, the host of the rally, some student-like individuals
were taking pictures of the participants at the rally. When the host went to
stop them, one of them showed extreme panic. Ms. Sakamoto said that since the
exposure of the head of the Chinese student body, the CCP is very panicked, and
practitioners have been harassed at activities. According to practitioner Mr.
Zhang, a former board member in charge of the International Division, the
Chinese Consulate in each city has direct and indirect connections with Chinese
students nearby, and trades information for money.
