At 10 a.m., the parade started. Falun Dafa banners and flags and a practitioner dressed as a celestial maiden sitting in the lotus flower drew much attention during the parade. Wherever they went, the audience warmly applauded. Many shouted, "Falun Dafa!" Some children pointed at the practitioner in the lotus flower and said, "She's a Chinese princess."

After the parade, many residents came to practitioners' booth for more information. Many of them wished to learn the exercises on the spot and asked when there would be an introductory class. Practitioners wrote down their contact information and planned to set up a local practice site to teach them the exercises.

The exercise demonstration caught the attention of many tourists. A TV cameraman took video footage of the exercise demonstration. He left his business card and wished to arrange a special interview with Falun Gong practitioners. Many tourists were more or less familiar with the persecution of Falun Gong in China. They were sympathetic towards Falun Gong practitioners who are being persecuted. After learning about the CCP's brutal persecution of innocent people a young girl said, "It is truly shameful."
