Taiwan Legislative Member: Hong Kong Authorities Should Apologize to Falun Gong Practitioners for Violent Deportations (Photos) By a practitioner from Tainan
(Clearwisdom.net) On June 30, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Tainan
who were violently deported by the Hong Kong government on June 27 and 28 went
to the local office of Legislative Member Li Junyi in Tainan County and told him
the details of the deportation. Mr. Li said that he will request the Department
of Foreign Affairs to lodge a protest with the Hong Kong government and ask the
Hong Kong government to apologize to Falun Gong practitioners. Legislative Member Li Junyi accepts the appeal letter from
Falun Gong practitioners Lin Kunhsiu, one of the practitioners who was deported, said, "Our
purpose for going to Hong Kong was to call upon more people to help stop the
persecution of Falun Gong and expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP)
brutality. Was it really necessary for the Hong Kong government to violently
deal with peaceful Falun Gong practitioners with more than a hundred
policemen?" Li Junyi stated that the Hong Kong government should apologize to Falun Gong
practitioners and promise it won't happen again. Li Junyi said the Taiwanese
government should protect Falun Gong practitioners, because they are Taiwanese
citizens. Li Junyi listening to practitioners Li Junyi told practitioners not to be afraid of the Chinese Communist Party.
Practitioners called upon the government to pay attention to the violent
deportations that took place in Hong Kong.
