Personnel from the Xunyang District Penpu Police Station in Jiujiang City arrested 60-year-old Ms. Chen Youyun and 50-year-old Ms. Gao Aihua at 10:00 a.m. on July 21, 2007. The arrest occurred when the two practitioners were explaining the facts about Falun Gong at the Jiujiu Supermarket. Later, police ransacked the two practitioners' homes.

Xunyang District Jinjipo Police Station chief Zhu Yu led some officers to arrest 60-year-old practitioner Ms. Wu Nianxiu at 3:00 p.m. on July 18, 2007. Ms. Wu is presently being held on the fourth floor in the district's police department building.

After two months of persecution that began at the Nanjing City Detention Center on March 19, 2007, practitioner Ms. Li Li was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor on May 23, 2007. She was put into the Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp No. 7 Division. When her family visited her on June 1, 2007 they found Ms. Li to be skinny, and her legs were swollen. She told her family that she is unable to see clearly.

Practitioner Mr. Qu Shoucheng from Baoding City has been held at the city's prison since October 15, 2004. The prison authorities permitted two visits per year, but wardens have forbidden Mr. Qu's family from visiting since late last year.

Dazai Township deputy head Ma Enguo and other officials in Xingcheng City harassed practitioner Mr. Zhang Chongyue on July 6, 2007. They confiscated one of Master's pictures, some Dafa books and an MP4 player. The officials returned Mr. Zhang's MP4 player, however Ma Enguo called the Dazai Police Station and declared that practitioner Mr. Zhang had stolen items from them. He ordered the police station personnel to ransack Mr. Zhang's home. Dazai Police Station chief Chen Yu arrived and ransacked Mr. Zhang's home in the practitioner's and his family's absence. They took a laptop computer, a printer, some Dafa books and some truth-clarifying materials.

Practitioner Mr. Shi Xianguo from Shahe City works at the Du Village Kaite Feedingstuff. Police arrested him and sent him to Xingtai City because he distributed truth-clarifying materials.

Four practitioners from Xincheng City who were arrested in Wu'an City were sentenced at the Wu'an City Court. They are presently being held at the city's detention center.

8. [Huaibei City, Anhui Province] Police Arrest Practitioner He Hongling, a Teacher from the Experimental Primary School

Practitioner Ms. He Hongling, a teacher from the Huaibei City Experimental Primary School, explained the facts about Falun Gong in October 2005. Zhu Lin, a student's father and Liu Feng, a car driver from the city's 610 Office, reported Ms. He. Later, personnel from the Xiangshan District Political and Judiciary Committee, from the district's court, and from the district's procuratorate persecuted Ms. He. She eventually chose to live in exile in late 2006 to avoid further persecution. Police arrested her in late July 2007. She is probably being held at the city's No. 2 Detention Center.

Personnel from the Duozhuang Town Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Wang Guangjian, from Jiuquanyu Village, Taoxu Town, Mengyin City, at Nanrongfu Village at 1:00 p.m. on July 22, 2007. Police then ransacked Mr. Wang's home at 6:00 p.m. that day. They confiscated some Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.

Practitioner Ms. Zhu Zhengqun from Leshan City, Sichuan Province was arrested on July 18, 2007 as she explained the facts about Falun Gong near the Foguang Lake. Later, personnel from the Tuqiao Street Committee and from the No. 3 Police Station ransacked Ms. Zhu's home. Ms. Zhu's whereabouts are unknown.

Practitioner Mr. Qiao Zengyi from Harbin City suffered from tuberculosis during detention in the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp. He was bailed out for hospitalization in the city's Contagious Disease Hospital on July 18, 2007.

Personnel from the Xishantiao Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuge the afternoon of July 21, 2007. Ms. Wang is presently being held at the Weizigou Detention Center. Police confiscated some Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials from her home.

Practitioner Mr. Liu Qianli from Jizhou City went to a practitioner's home in Qing County, Hebei Province on July 22, 2007, to get his investment money. Police waiting outside the practitioner's home arrested him without any evidence and confiscated a bank book registering deposits of 10,000 yuan. Mr. Liu is presently being held at the city's detention center.

Three officers from the Gongren Village Police Station in Xigang District, Dalian City arrested 52-year-old practitioner Ms. Sheng Lianying and 55-year-old practitioner Ms. Sun Qiaohua at 5:00 p.m. on July 19, 2007.

Ms. Sheng is widowed, and her middle-school aged child is left home alone.

Practitioners Ms. Liu Zhanying, 47, and Ms. Zhang Aichun, in her fifties, living in the Kaiping District, Shuigang Building, were arrested on July 21, 2007 as they distributed truth-clarifying materials. They were taken to the Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center on the night of July 22, 2007. Six practitioners including Ms. Zhang Zongsu, Mr. Li Guocai, Ms. Yu Shuying and Ms. Lu Shuwen are now being held at that detention center.

22. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Cui Shengyun is on a Persecution-Protest Hunger Strike and is Quite Weak

Practitioner Ms. Cui Shengyun from Jiamusi City has been on a persecution-protest hunger strike at the Jiamusi City Detention Center for over a week. As a result she is quite weak. Personnel from the city's Political and Judiciary Committee and from the National Security Bureau arrested Ms. Cui on May 19, 2007. The police have often tortured her.

Several 610 Office personnel and police officers arrested practitioner Ms. Jiang Yan when she arrived at her workplace on the morning of July 17, 2007. Ms. Jiang shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good! Police are arresting an innocent person!" Police forcibly took Ms. Jiang away and ransacked her home. She is presently being held at the 610 Office.

25. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Practitioner Han Wenxiu Arrested

Personnel from the Zheng'an County Police Department arrested practitioner Ms. Han Wenxiu from Suiyang Town, Fenggang County, Zunyi City on May 7, 2007. Ms. Han is presently being held at the county's detention center.

Ms. Han's non-practitioner daughter Ms. Wang Wen asked the police not to arrest her mother, but her mother was also arrested. She was held for 10 days and fined 500 yuan.

Practitioner Mr. Si Beowen was going to another city on business on July 23, 2007. Five plainclothes policemen followed him and arrested him as he was buying a train ticket in Hongqi Street, Changchun City.

Some policemen followed Ms. Yu and arrested her at 11:00 a.m. on July 7, 2007. It happened as she took care of her pregnant daughter-in-law at her son's home in the Quiwen District, Weifang City. Her son was arrested at the same time.

29. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Practitioner Zhao Shibi Persecuted

Practitioner Ms. Zhao Shibi from Guiyang City distributed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in the Zhicheng Market the morning of July 7, 2007. A market security guard reported her, and then personnel from the Qinling East Street Police Station arrested her. When Ms. Zhao's family requested her release, the police stated she would be released 15 days later. But when the family went to pick her up and take her home on July 21, 2007, they found that Ms. Zhao had been secretly transferred to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center. Police also ordered Ms. Zhao's family to pay 4,400 yuan.

Personnel from the Changchun City Police Department and from the Xishantiao Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuge and ransacked her home on July 21, 2007. Ms. Wang is presently being held at the Weizigou Detention Center, and family visits are forbidden. Police stay at her home in order to arrest any practitioners who have contact with her.

31. [Qidong County, Hunan Province] Practitioner Peng Sumei Arrested

Personnel from the Qidong County Police Department in Hengyang City broke into practitioner Ms. Peng Sumei's home at 8:00 p.m. on June 30, 2007. They confiscated one of Master's pictures, Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials and copies of "Minghui Weekly." They also took 2,000 yuan in cash and two bank deposit books. One registered 11,000 yuan, and the other 4,000 yuan. Police also confiscated a cellular phone worth 1,000 yuan.

Ms. Peng was taken to the police department and handcuffed to a window frame for a night. She successfully escaped the next morning.

Practitioners Mr. Liu Jinman and Ms. Yang Qingbai from Tianzenglong Village, Bashihan Township, Jianchang County, Huludao City were arrested on the evening of July 22, 2007, as they were distributing truth-clarifying materials. They were put into the county's detention center.

34. [Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Sentenced at the Qingdao City Court

According to the Bandao City News, on July 11, 2007, Qingdao City Court agents sentenced five practitioners, charging them with impeding law enforcement. Among them, practitioners surnamed Li and Duan from Jiaozhou City were sentenced to seven and four years in prison, respectively. A practitioner from the Sifang District was sentenced to seven years in prison.

Several policemen went to Ms. Yang Chunxiu's sales booth in the Sidaoqiao Aquatic Product Hall in Dandong City and arrested her on July 14, 2007. Ms. Yang was first put into the city's detention center, followed by incarceration at the Shenyang City Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Personnel from the city police department arrested Ms. Song at 9:00 a.m. on November 11, 2006. She was later sentenced to five years in prison. She is presently being held at the Shenyang City Dabei Prison. She was once tied to a bed for 15 days and deprived of sleep for eight days. When her family went to visit her, police guards stood around and monitored their conversation.

Personnel from the Dandong City Yongchang Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Shao Zhongye on September 26, 2005. Since that time, Mr. Shao has been held at the Benxi City Prison, where he was tortured. His family went to visit him during the 2007 Chinese New Year, and they found that Mr. Shao could not walk and had to be carried out to see them. Mr. Shao told his family that police beatings fractured one of his legs. When his family visited him again in April 2007 he was still carried out. Mr. Shao is presently being held at the prison's No. 5 Ward.

After being held for six months at the Changliu Detention Center, Mr. Xu was released on July 11, 2007. Personnel from the town's police department arrested him again at 10:00 p.m. on July 20, 2007, as he distributed truth-clarifying materials. He is presently being held at the Changliu Detention Center.

44. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Brief Information Regarding Persecution of Practitioner Zhu Xiuqin

Practitioner Ms. Zhu Xiuqin from Huailai County went to appeal for justice for Falun Gong in Beijing after July 20, 1999. Later she was held at the county's detention center for 15 days and fined 8,000 yuan.

Ms. Zhu did not receive her annual salary increases in 2001 and 2002 because she practiced Falun Dafa. The monthly increase should be 59 yuan and would have amounted to 3,540 yuan over the past five years. Her bonus and subsidies also deducted between 2000 and 2001, which was about 12,000 yuan.

50. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Zhang Kai Still Being Held at the Dashan Detention Center

Personnel from the Qingdao City's Sifang Police Station have held practitioner Mr. Zhang Kai, an undergraduate student from Qingdao Technology University, at the Dashan Detention Center for three months. Sifang District Court agents sentenced Mr. Zhang to three and a half years in prison. Mr. Zhang has appealed.

Personnel from the Duozhuang Town Police Department arrested practitioner Mr. Wang Guangjian from Jiuquanyu Village, Taoqu Town, Mengyi County when Mr. Wang explained the facts about Falun Gong to personnel from the Nanrongfu Administration Office in Duozhuang Town.

52. [Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province] Practitioner Lu Yaoxue Arrested

Police officer Cai Jishan and others from the Linfen City Politics and Security Section arrested practitioner Mr. Lu Yaoxue, in his sixties, from Xiangling Town, Xiangfen County, Linfen City on July 3, 2007. The arrest happened as Mr. Lu was distributing truth-clarifyng materials. Mr. Lu is currently being held at the Yaodu District Detention Center.

53. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Six People Arrested

Personnel from the Yingze District Police Department broke into the company where practitioners Mr. Zhu Bidong, Mr. Fu Lisheng and Ms. Yu Hua from Macheng City, Hubei Province worked on the night of June 23, 2007. Police arrested the three practitioners and three non-practitioners, including the company director, accountant, and a chef. They also ransacked the company and confiscated a lot of cash, some bank deposit books and a car. The practitioner couple, Mr. Wu Xiufeng and Yu Hua, employees of the company, were also arrested.

Police arrested about 20 practitioners from Macheng City on June 23, 2007. It was heard that 16 practitioners are presently being held at the Wuhan City Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center.
