Falun Dafa Practitioner Feng Guirong from Jilin City On Hunger Strike to Resist Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Feng Guirong, a Dafa practitioner in Jilin City, Jilin Province, was arrested on June 29, 2007, and is on a hunger strike to protest her persecution at Jilin Detention Center.

In her early years, Feng Guilin had congenital heart disease. Her disease often appeared, causing her to faint. After she started practicing Falun Dafa, all her previous illnesses disappeared. She disciplined herself to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. She is recognized as being a good person.

After July 20, 1999, however, Feng Guirong was arrested. Her home was searched and her property confiscated. Knowing she would be sent to a forced labor camp, she had no choice but to leave home in fear of illegal arrests, and other persecution.

However, on July 29, 2007, when her whole family was remodeling their home in respect for the elders, Feng Guirong, her family members, and her hired workers were violently arrested and taken to the Jilin Police Dog Base by more than ten police officers using electric batons. She was tortured to produce so-called evidence. She was force fed mustard oil, weighed down with an iron bar which crushed her lower legs, brutally beaten, and tortured using other methods. Those tortures caused her head to swell and become very painful. Her lips swelled as well and her ears were buzzing. She was unable to walk upright. She is currently on hunger strike to appeal such persecution. Officials at the detention center should have reported the problem within three days according to the law. But instead, she is being force-fed and illegally detained.

It is reported that this arrest was conceived and implemented by people at the Jilin Fengman Police Station and the 610 Office. After being tortured to produce evidence, the detainees were to be transferred to the Chuanying Branch Police Station.

In order to ask for higher bonuses, the police officers exaggerated and decided the verdict, then searched for evidence and cooked up charges. Police also reported their arrests to the newspaper. The process was handled by officers from the 610 Office who exercise power above the law. The case was once returned to Chuanying Branch Police Station by the Procuratorate.
