Guard Yang Erchen from Shiling Prison Dies from a Brain Hemorrhage and Other Cases of Karmic Retribution

Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Karmic Retribution at the Shaanxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp

1. Yuan Jun is a 20-year-old female guard who hated practitioners bitterly. One day in the winter of 2001, when she was on night duty, she deprived practitioners of sleep, forced them to stand for a long time, and beat them with a baton. She suffered a massive hemorrhage that same night.

2. Yuan Yuan is a 30-year-old female guard. As someone who actively participated in the persecution, she prohibited practitioners from going to the restroom and seized Teacher's articles from them. At the end of 2005, she became seriously ill and had to go for treatment in Beijing for a long time.

3. Wu Chunmei is a 30-year-old female drug addict. Since 2001, she has actively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. She beat and otherwise physically abused practitioners frequently. It turned out that three months after her detention term was completed, she was sentenced to a labor camp for three years. In June 2005, she developed mental problems and liver ascites (build-up of fluid in the abdominal cavity) after several days of infusion.

Guards from the Hanbin Detention Center in Ankang City, Shanxi Province Suffer Karmic Retribution for Persecuting Practitioners

Ma Baipeng is a 34-year-old male guard whose ID number is 028764. Hu Fukang is a 40-year-old male guard whose ID number is 028876. They both work in the Hanbin Detention Center and are involved in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. They violently beat older female practitioners. They have both developed hypertension and have to take medicine with them everywhere.

Yang Erchen, Guard at Shiling Prison in Siping City, Jilin Province, Died of a Brain Hemorrhage in the Restroom

Yang Erchen was a 60-year-old retired male guard from Shiling Prison in Siping City, Jilin Province. In the spring of 2007, he suffered a brain hemorrhage and died in a restroom.

Yang Erchen actively participated in the persecution. He was in charge of collecting Falun Gong materials from practitioners and then reporting the materials to the higher authorities of the prison. The prison authorities would persecute practitioners on the basis of those materials. As a result, many practitioners were subjected to severe persecution that led to them being injured or even permanently disabled.
