Urgent Call to Rescue Mr. Cao Dong and Mr. Xu Feng from Severe Torture in Tianshui Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners Mr. Cao Dong and Mr. Xu Feng are both being cruelly tortured in the Gansu Province Third Prison (also called Tianshui Prison). They are locked in two separate cells for brainwashing, with each cell containing 4-5 prisoners that closely monitor and torture them. Cao Dong and Xu Feng are both very weak. We are calling on people to take note of their situation and take action to rescue them.

Cao Dong met with the Vice President of the European Parliament Edward McMillan-Scott on May 21, 2006. He provided evidence of the cruel persecution by describing the experiences of his wife and other Falun Gong practitioners. Only two hours after the meeting, he was arrested by State Security agents. Cao Dong was transferred to the Gansu Province State Security Division in September 2006. On February 8, 2007, Mr. Cao was sentenced to five years in prison and taken to Tianshui Prison in May 2007.

On August 21, 2002, Mr. Xu Feng was arrested while he clarified the truth to people in Qingyang City, Gansu Province. He was later sentenced to fourteen and one-half years in prison by the Xifeng District Court in Qingyang City. He has been imprisoned in Dashaping Prison and Dingxi Prison. On December 14, 2005, he was transferred with another practitioner, Mr. Liu Zhirong, to Tianshui Prison. In less than one month, Mr. Liu Zhirong was tortured to death (see http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2006/1/19/69135.html). Mr. Liu was a very healthy man in his forties, but his body became covered with bruises, and the corner of one of his eyes was seriously injured.

The torture means used in Tiansui Prison are very cruel, and the guards use all their power against Cao Dong and Xu Feng. The prison administration also uses money to bribe guards to brainwash these practitioners, and they offered a ten thousand yuan bonus if a steadfast Falun Dafa practitioner was successfully brainwashed. Among the guards specifically assigned to brainwash practitioners are Liu Jiangtao (male), Zhang Jianhua (male), Zhang Jun (male), and Dong Shutang (male).

The prison administration has separated each practitioner and uses prisoners to torture them. These prisoners are mostly murderers, gangsters, and prisoners serving life sentences. There are five of these prisoners placed around Cao Dong and four placed around Xu Feng. Mr. Cao and Mr. Xu are both in very difficult surroundings, and they are very weak due to the inhuman torture.
