Improving My Xinxing Through Coordination Work By a practitioner from Hebei Province
(Clearwisdom.net) I would like to share how I balance being a coordinator
among practitioners during my cultivation. In 2002, I lived in a place where many of the local practitioners were once
imprisoned and tortured in a forced labor camp. These practitioners seldom
talked or greeted each other on the streets. Many of them wouldn't even take
Teacher's new articles, let alone validate the Fa. This kind of
attitude among practitioners has encouraged the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to
intensify the persecution. The CCP fearlessly arrested and fined practitioners
and searched their homes. I asked Teacher to help me to assist local practitioners in understanding the
Fa, improve themselves, and return to the Fa. Whatever I did at that time, I
always sent forth righteous thoughts and memorized the Fa. With Teacher's help,
I soon met Yu and Wen, and we worked together. Wen and I tried to talk to local
practitioners to help them with Dafa work while Yu sent forth righteous thoughts
and did the preparation work. We started with practitioner A, who had been "transformed". We
studied the Fa and shared our experiences with her. We found the reason for her
persecution and learned from it. She returned to the Fa. Everyone was busy
during the day, hence we could only talk to them at night. There was no light in
the village and the roads were unpaved. Wen and I went to A's home many times by
bike and always got home around midnight. Since we did a righteous thing, Teacher continued to encourage us. Once I
left A's house at 2 a.m. On my way home, I went along a road with no houses but
many graveyards. I saw many strange-looking "things" and got scared. I
asked Teacher for help. Suddenly, I heard wind blowing and I saw a big Falun
above my head as I looked up. The Falun cleaned up everything as it turned and
the air froze. A stream of strong energy went through me and tears came to my
eyes. With Teacher's help, practitioner A awakened to the truth. Practitioner A
introduced me to other practitioners, and I shared my understandings with all of
them. Once, as I studied Chapter Five of Zhuan Falun at home, a
practitioner's image appeared on the pages. At first I thought it was
interference because I had studied five chapters of Zhuan Falun that day.
I asked Teacher to stop the interference. However, the image continued to appear
as I studied. I said to Teacher, "If you want me to go to him, I will. If I
am wrong, let me run into a small trouble when I leave home. If I am right, let
me get to his house without any problems." I arrived at his house and saw
many people in his house. His head, eyes, and mouth were so swollen that he
couldn't see or open his mouth. His family (also practitioners) told me that he
had not been able to sleep or eat for 20 days and was in pain. He told me that
he had had a dream: Five people whom he beat up in his previous lives had come
to take revenge. They beat him so hard that his head was swollen. He thought he
was repaying his karma. I negated it and told him to look inside. He used to do
Dafa work and led practitioners to Beijing to validate the Fa. He stopped
"clarifying the facts" and doing Dafa work. The evil was exploiting
his gaps. I told him that he had not validated the Fa, nor had he caught up with
the progress of Fa-rectification. I asked him to eat something, but he refused. I told him that Teacher did not
tell us to do bigu (fasting) and we must eat like an ordinary person. The
evil wanted him to be weak and not eat, thus he must eat. He gradually ate a
little watermelon and some grits. I stayed in his home that night and studied
"Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York"
with him. "The evil is raucous on the surface, but inside it is afraid. You are
Dafa disciples, and you can't have fear inside. If a cultivator can truly let go
of [the fear of] death, then that death will forever be far removed from
you." He recognized his mistakes through studying the Fa and knew that he had fear
and wanted to protect himself. He fell asleep after studying. When he woke up
the next day, a lot of pus flowed out of him and he recovered from his illness.
Other practitioners and non-practitioners witnessed this miracle and thus
started to practice Falun Gong. Gradually, everyone in the village returned to Dafa. The righteous elements
got stronger and the evil persecution slowed down. The practitioners who later
returned to the Fa and caught up with the progress of Fa-rectification were more
certain about their mission and responsibility. I helped them to validate the Fa
and save sentient beings. We distributed and posted flyers and wrote and hung up
banners. Once, I drove to another village with practitioner B and her children to
clarify the facts. The persecution was severe in this village and
few people knew the truth. Some of us distributed materials and some posted
flyers. We knew that the village committee had a large loudspeaker. We sent
forth righteous thoughts after the distribution work was done and asked that the
village secretary read the content of the flyers through the loudspeaker. The
next day, the village secretary said that he hd found Falun Gong flyers and read
the content through the loudspeaker. We again experienced the power of righteous
thoughts and were encouraged to do better in saving sentient beings. Because of
this incident, many practitioners improved and we formed a group that helped
each other to clarify the facts. Teacher said in "Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at
the U.S. West Fa Conference," "Each of you is like an Assistant, each of you is a particle of Dafa,
each of you is immersed in and being tempered in the Fa, and each of you knows
what to do." I learned how to gather practitioners around me and improve as a whole. We
studied the Fa and shared our experiences with each other. We also understood
our responsibilities. We then found more practitioners and repeated the same
process to help them improve. When we encountered problems, we returned and
studied the Fa and shared experiences more in order to learn and improve from
the Fa. Each practitioner helped another one and we all had a chance to practice
and improve as a whole quickly. Practitioners shoulder great responsibilities. We needed to help other
practitioners to improve as a whole and not just ourselves. We started
contacting practitioners in surrounding areas and shared experiences with them
and helped them to resolve their problems based on the Fa. A senior practitioner
had long been paralyzed and couldn't take care of herself. We had a small group
experience sharing at her home. She asked many questions. Together we looked for
answers from the Fa. She knew she had a temper because of her chronic illness
and often took it out on her husband. Teacher said in Zhuan Falun that
"one should not fight back when being punched or insulted." Teacher
wants us to treat others with benevolence. Teacher also said in the article
"Realms:" "A wicked person is born of jealousy. (Essentials for Further Advancement) We knew what she had slacked off in studying the Fa and told this senior
practitioner, "Compliance is Cultivation" ("Solid
Cultivation" from Hong Yin). She was determined to
change everything and was able to stand up within a week. Everyone again
witnessed the miracles of Dafa and Teacher. We improved from the Fa and broke
through the barrier of distance between areas. We merged as a whole and stopped
the evil. Being an assistant, one must be strict with oneself in studying the Fa more.
One should always consider and solve problems based on the Fa. When there is a
problem, one needs to find one's attachments in order to reach understandings
with other practitioners and truly improve. The process of solving problems is
the process of everyone's practice. When troubles emerge, don't rush to solve
them. Always listen and watch calmly and look inward to find one's attachments.
One must think how to solve the problem based on the Fa and peacefully state
one's understanding from the Fa to others. Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa
at the Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital," "Only after a person calmly and peacefully withdraws from a conflict
and then looks at it can he truly resolve it." Many problems will quickly be resolved if we truly follow Teacher's words. One time a practitioner was arrested. We quickly notified all practitioners,
sent forth righteous thoughts, and posted flyers to clarify the facts. One of
the practitioners didn't do well. This practitioner dozed off when sending forth
righteous thoughts, picked on other practitioners instead of helping with the
rescue, and spread words that weren't based on the Fa. I learned about it but
wasn't in a hurry to talk to this practitioner. Instead, we studied the Fa
together trying to find what we did wrong and look inward to figure out what had
provoked everyone's attachments. Why was everyone upset? What did we do that
didn't conform to the teachings? Perhaps it was time for us to elevate our
xinxing. After that, I arranged an experience sharing conference. Everyone talked
about how he/she tried to resolve issues based on the Fa. Everyone talked a lot,
became more diligent, found his/her own attachments, and improved. Once, an information center was discovered and many practitioners were
arrested. This caused chaos and practitioners panicked. Some even blamed and
suspected others. I calmed down and studied "Teaching the Fa in San
Francisco, 2005" with other practitioners. Everyone learned that what we
are doing is the most righteous thing and the evil had no right to test us,
because Teacher told us that, "Humans aren't worthy of testing this Fa, and neither are Gods.
Whoever touches it commits a sin." ("Teaching the Fa at the Great
Lakes Fa Conference in North America" from Guiding the Voyage) No matter what a practitioner does, the evil can't touch us a bit! Teacher said in "Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at
the U.S. West Fa Conference," "Remember: Wherever a problem occurs, that's where you need to clarify
the facts." We clarified the facts regarding the arrest. We made several kinds of
materials to let people know that the Chinese Communist Party is persecuting
Falun Gong and arresting practitioners. We warned the police who participated in
the persecution that the gods are eliminating the CCP and they will go down with
the CCP if they help with the persecution. We let people know that without the
persecution, practitioners wouldn't have to risk their lives to clarify the
facts in order to let people know that Falun Dafa is good and save their lives.
By doing this, several practitioners left the detention center in less than two
weeks. A coordinator shouldn't just coordinate Dafa work. He/she needs to learn the
Fa well and improve in order to be able to coordinate based on the Fa. A
coordinator needs to look inward when encountering a problem, correct
him/herself based on the Fa, and then further help the group to refine and
