By a practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong practitioners with violence and deceit. When the persecution first began, the CCP did not have any support from the people. People with kind hearts and a clear conscience opposed all aspects of the persecution. The following are some of the events that I have experienced first hand.

Two years ago, I met a policeman from the Public Security Bureau. He was an instructor in a prison and was also in charge of dealing with Falun Gong issues. After I "clarified the truth" to him, he said, "I know that Falun Gong has spread to seventy or eighty countries. More and more people come to learn Falun Gong, and the practice is indestructible. It is only a matter of time before the persecution ends." He also said, "Every time we receive orders from up above to persecute practitioners, I only deal with it superficially. I know in my heart that you are good people and I shouldn't do bad things to you." He also said that when he was young, his mother often taught him that he should do good deeds and not bad deeds. "Good will be rewarded with good and evil will receive karmic retribution. Even though it seems like the evil is getting away with what it wants, karmic retribution will surely come in time. No one can escape punishment for their evil deeds." After the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong, his mother told him, "Don't ever do such wicked things. Falun Gong practitioners believe in and are protected by Heaven. Whoever persecutes them will be punished by Heaven." When we parted, I told him, "If you have the chance, please read the book Zhuan Falun. He happily agreed.

Another policeman works in a police sub-station. Every morning he practices the first set of Falun Gong exercises that his sister taught him. He said, "I feel very good every time I practice for a few minutes, so I practice the exercise before I go to work." He tries his best to protect Dafa practitioners and provides as much help as he can for the practitioners and their families. In the past, he has used his connections to have practitioners released from jail. The child of a practitioner who was in the forced labor camp was not allowed to go to school. He went to see the school board and questioned them, saying, "Why don't you let him go to school? What crimes has he committed?" Since then, the child has been able to attend school again. He said, "This is a political movement, and as soon as the movement ends, your names will be cleared and your good deeds will pay off."

One day I was in line to buy something and had a conversation with the person behind me. He worked in the law offices and often went abroad. He had just traveled to Korea, and he said, "In Korea, there are many people practicing Falun Gong in the parks and on the streets. People in other countries also openly practice Falun Gong. Only the people in China are forbidden to practice. In my work unit, when the orders from above directed us to persecute Falun Gong and I was assigned to do such things, I wouldn't do it. I told them that we were the institution charged with carrying out the law, and we shouldn't violate the law ourselves. Whoever does bad deeds will receive karmic retribution in the future." He also said that his wife was not in good health and had many diseases. He told his wife to practice Falun Gong but she was too scared to learn the practice.

One day I was in a practitioner's home and met one of her relatives, who was a policewoman. After hearing our stories, she said, "Practitioners are so remarkable. You have suffered so much and have been put under unbearable pressure by the government, but you are still so determined in your belief. You have been clarifying the truth and resisting the persecution for so many years! You are not ordinary people."

I have a friend who is a young policeman. On the first day he began his duties, he said to me, "As long as I know of any news concerning Falun Gong, I will let you know." Before this New Year, he told me, "We had a meeting in our police station. The director said, 'It's almost the New Year, and we will let Falun Gong practitioners have a good New Year and we will not disturb them.'"

One of my neighbors is the Director of the Residential Community Committee. When the so-called "sensitive days" come, he will tell me their internal news regarding Falun Gong. Before July 20, 2004, he told me that on that day the police and other people would patrol the road and watch outside of practitioners' homes. He warned me to be careful and not to go anywhere.

On the evening of July 20, when I went out to distribute Falun Gong materials, I saw police cars swarming the streets and police patrolling at intersections. There were even policemen outside of my home. On the evening of July 20, 2006, he called me and asked in a worried tone, "Where did you go? Why weren't you at home?" I said, "I was having dinner at my friend's home." He was a bit relieved and said, "Now I am at ease, because tonight all of the Community Committee members are going out to monitor practitioners."

From the above examples we can see that quite a few Chinese people have a moral conscience when facing serious issues. They are not willing to be the pawns of the CCP. They support Falun Gong practitioners with their thoughts and actions, and they have chosen a good future for themselves.

Eight years of persecution have passed, but Falun Gong has become more and more popular in the world. The evil CCP uses all of its resources to persecute Falun Gong and has lost the confidence and support of its own people. It has pulled itself down and soon those perpetrators who help the evil do evil deeds will be punished and brought to justice.
