Police Arrest Fourteen Practitioners during the Last Three Months in Yi County, Hebei Province


(Clearwisdom.net) The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP regime has been more rampant during the last three months in Yi County. Police from Yi County Police Department, officials from Yi County Bureau of Justice, and police from the local police stations have harassed and threatened practitioners in their homes. Tanghu Town was especially targeted. Police there from the Xishanbei Township Police Station, along with officers from State Security Division of Yi County Police Department, went to the homes of every practitioner to harass and threaten them. This caused a great deal of mental anguish for the families of the practitioners.

Police officers Tian Guojun (male) and Xu Shuzhen (female) from State Security Division of Yi County Police Department actively participated in the harassment and the arrest of practitioners. On April 17, 2007, practitioner Ms. Zhang Lanjun was arrested and then her home was ransacked. The officers also extorted eight thousand yuan from her.

On June 18, 2007, police arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Yaqin and ransacked her home. Two computers, two printers, and other personal belongings were confiscated by the police. The value of these items totaled more than ten thousand yuan.

At the end of June, 2007, practitioner Mr. Guan Fengtian from Yihe Village, Yizhou Town, was arrested while at home and was sent to Baoding Forced Labor Camp several days later.

At around 2 p.m. on July 2, 2007, plainclothes police officers, Tian Guojun, and other police officers from State Security Division of Baoding City Police Department went the residence of Mr. Li Baojin and ransacked his home.

On July 5, 2007, practitioner Ms. Wang Zhili from Dule Township was arrested.

Around July 10, 2007, police from Dule Township Police Station ransacked six different practitioners' homes in Zhaizi Village. The police even knocked down the firewood that was stacked in the yards. They arrested practitioners Mr. Wang Zhili, Mr. Wang Qiang, Ms. Tian Fengping, Ms. Zhang Rui, Ms. Ran Guorong, and Ms. Zhao Honger. All of them were taken to the police station. Currently, practitioners Wang Zhili and Wang Qiang are being detained in the Yi County Detention Center. Two to three thousand yuan was extorted from Ms. Tian Fengping, Ms. Zhang Rui, Ms. Ran Guorong, and Ms. Zhao Honger before they were released from custody.

On July 11, 2007, police from Xibeishan Township Police Station arrested three practitioners from Loushan Village.

In the last three months fourteen practitioners' homes have been ransacked.
