Saving Everyone I Come In Contact With

(Clearwisdom.net) I have a small department store in a shopping center. Every day I come into contact with people from all walks of life, and I tell myself all the time that whatever the circumstances, I must remember that I am a Dafa disciple.

I'd like to begin my story by talking about my shop assistant Ms Feng. When she came to work in my shop on the first day, she said to me, "Sister, I heard that you practice Falun Gong, is that right? Please don't practice it anymore because the stories on TV were terrible." My heart sank when I heard what she said. At the same time I realized the responsibility of our Dafa practitioners in the Fa-rectification period. How many people have been deluded and poisoned by the lies of the evil Communist spectre? I wanted to save her and save everyone that I came into contact with, so I then clarified the truth about Falun Gong and gave her DVDs, and asked her to watch the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I asked her not to argue or quarrel with customers, and if customers didn't like the goods they bought, to let them return them. But she said that nowadays none of the business owners were like me, and that everyone would bully me if I did that. She didn't understand.

Later, when we were not busy, I told her some cultivation stories like the Red-Eyed Lion story, and also explained to her why Dafa practitioners risked their lives to ask people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Eventually she said to me, "Sister, I understand. I totally understand now." She changed. And people around me changed as well. Even Ms. Lu, who liked to fight, changed, became kinder and helped to clarify the truth and ask people to quit the CCP. People around me withdrew from the CCP and rid themselves of the mark of the evil Communist spectre one after the other.

Master said in "Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005,"

"The path of Dafa disciples' cultivation is such that your cultivation doesn't involve breaking from the secular world, it's that kind of path. So, as you cultivate in the society of ordinary people, you are either being polluted by ordinary society or you are changing ordinary society. And that's for sure."

In 2000 I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. I was illegally arrested twice. My husband was so terrified that he didn't allow me to have any contact with fellow practitioners or to do the truth-clarifying work. He said if I was arrested again, the whole family and my children would be in trouble. His words angered me and I started shouting at him. I said to him, "It's none of your business whether I live or die. If you are afraid of being implicated, go ahead and divorce me. I am not wrong and what I am doing is the most righteous thing."

Later, after studying the Fa more and sharing with practitioners, I felt ashamed of myself. I totally lacked compassion. I changed my attitude and patiently explained to my husband why I did what I had done and let him know that the reason we told people the truth of Falun Gong was to save them. Due to my change, he changed, too. He didn't oppose my contact with practitioners. He helped to buy stamps and envelopes to mail the truth-clarifying materials. Sometimes he drove me to my classmates, friends and relatives' homes, where I helped them withdraw from the CCP.

On one occasion my husband and I went to my second brother's home. His wife was home at the time, so I told her about quitting the CCP. She said she wouldn't withdraw and didn't believe in it. She also said some nasty words. My heart chilled and I wondered why it was so hard to save people. Coming out of her home, I said to my husband, "She is totally hopeless and cannot be saved." But my husband said to me very seriously, "Why do you say that? Do you want to just give up like this?" After hearing his words, I was very ashamed of myself. Was giving up when encountering difficulties something a Dafa practitioner in the Fa-rectification period should do?

Later, when I met my second sister-in-law, I patiently explained the facts to her again. Finally she understood and agreed to withdraw from the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.
