On April 19, 2007, Ms. Mei Ting was transferred from the Hefei City Detention Center to the Hefei City Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Her current situation is grave.

Practitioners from Baoding City, Mr. Dong Jizeng, Mr. Niu Huajing and Ms. Xu Xiuzhi, who were arrested, have been released. Among them, Niu Huajing and Xu Xiuzhi were sentenced to forced labor terms on July 16, 2007 and sent to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp. However, the camp refused to take them and they had to sign an agreement that they would serve their terms outside of the labor camp before they were released. A policeman from the Hanbei Police Station searched Xu Xiuzhi and confiscated at least 7,300 yuan. This policeman also extorted 3,000 yuan from Niu Huajing's family claiming that this was bail payment.

Ms. Gao Yueying and Mr. Li Zhengwen are currently detained in the Xushui Detention Center. Mr. Wang Xianghui is currently detained in the Provincial Prison in Baoding City.

Mr. Yang Qingsheng from Tianjin was arrested at his home around 8 o'clock in the evening on July 4, 2007 by the local police. He is currently detained in the Tianjin Hexi Police Department's detention center.

Mr. Ma Minqing was arrested on October 8, 2006 and has since been detained in the Yuexiu District Detention Center, Guangzhou City. The first trial was held on February 12, 2007 without any conviction due to lack of evidence. The 610 Office then spent over five months collecting so-called evidence and on July 16, 2007 conducted a second trial in the Yuexiu District Court, Guangzhou City even though the court's presiding judge was absent.

Ms. Xia Baohua was arrested on May 22, 2007. She developed heart disease due to the torture she had to endure. She is so weak that her hands tremble while eating a meal. She was sentenced to 15 months of forced labor and is currently detained and being tortured in the Weizigou Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Wang Xiuhong from the Titan Neighborhood of Zhangdian District, Zibo City was arrested on July 18, 2007 by the local National Security Team and is currently detained in the Zibo Detention Center. Another practitioner named Jiang was also arrested recently.

Mr. Luo Liteng was arrested on June 22, 2007 by the Macheng City National Security Team and the local 610 Office. They ransacked his home. His father, who also was a practitioner, was previously tortured to death.

On July 14, 2007, Ms. Liang Hongling and Mr. Ni Zhanhui were arrested by local police officers. Afterwards, they also arrested Ms. Liang Yaomin and Ms. Shao Qiuying. It is said that Ms. Liang Yaomin was taken by police officers from Yandai City and is currently detained in Yantai City.

In mid-December 2005, policemen from the Manasi Police Station inhumanly tortured practitioners who are being held in the detention center. Among other torture methods, they used the torture instrument called the tiger bench on practitioners continuously for seven days.

Around 6 o'clock in the evening on July 19, 2007, Ms. Yang Suzhen from Yi County went to the county military base to clarify the facts about Falun Gong. She was reported to the local police and police officer from the Qianyang Township Police Station arrested and sent her to the local detention center.

Mr. Liu Zhichen from Henan Village, Sanjiazi Township, Lingyuan City was arrested on July 20, 2007 by police officers of the Sihedang Police Station and Sanjiazi Police Station in Lingyuan City.

On the morning of July 16, 2007, Ms. Li Xiaoyan from Lishu County was arrested at her apartment by officers from the Lishu County 610 Office and the local police department's national security team. The police officers pried open the apartment's security window and confiscated three computers, a printer, five cell phones, some printing paper, computer memory sticks and portable hard disks. They also took some cash of an unknown amount, of which Ms. Li's child demanded 1,500 yuan back.

At around 8 o'clock in the evening on July 10, 2007, Policeman Li Mingchao from the Yushu City's Peiying Police Station broke into a local practitioner's home, searched the home and confiscated a suitcase containing Falun Gong books. He also tried to arrest this practitioner, who managed to flee the home.

Practitioners arrested on the same day include Ms. Cui Zhanyun, Mr. Liu Shihua, Mr. Zuo Zhongren, Ms. Man Shujie, Lao Man, Mr. Cao Guoliang, Ms. Di, Mr. Wen, and others. Many other practitioners' families were also harassed at their homes.

In early May 2007, Mr. Shen Zhensheng, Ms. Yao Shufang and two other female practitioners from Xincheng Town of Shahe City were taken away by the local police while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. They are currently detained in the Wu'an City Detention Center. The Wu'an City Procuratorate Prosecution Division is taking charge of this case. The head of the Prosecution Division is Wang Linshan.

At five o'clock in the morning on July 18, 2007, police officers from the Pinggu District in Beijing and the national security team arrested practitioners again. Among those arrested practitioners is Wu Weidong, a doctor of the community clinic in the Zhaogezhuang Village, who has been arrested three times.

On the evening of July 18, two female practitioners from Donggou of Pudong District, Shanghai were arrested by officers of the Gaoxing Town Police Department. On the evening of July 19, they were sent to the Zhangjiang Detention Center. One of them is in her forties and lives in the Sixth Village of Donggou. The other one is in her fifties and lives at Building No. 18, Room 301 in the Second Village of Donggou.

Ms. Dong Qiuying from Hejian City was arrested on June 4, 2007 by officers of the Hejian City Police's Third Squadron. She was released on July 19, after being detained for 45 days.

At around 11 o'clock in the evening on July 17, 2007, the police chief of the Anzhai Town Police Station in Quzhou County led over 10 policemen and broke into Li Baoyue's home in Gongchengbao. They arrested Li Baoyue and confiscated a TV satellite dish. They sent Li Baoyue to the Quzhou County Detention Center the next day. Due to his high blood pressure, the detention center refused to take Li Baoyue, who was therefore taken back to the Anzhai Town Police Station.

After July 16, the 610 Office of Wei County in Handan City, the police from Wangwanbao Township, Xinanwen Township, Beiluoying Village, Putaoying Village, and several other villages south of the Zhang River have arrested many practitioners. The arrested practitioners include Ms. Cui Hexiang, Ms. Wang Ruihua, Ms. Shen Xi'e, Ms. You Yufang, Ms. Hai Lian, Ms. Geng Shemei, Mr. Hou Xichen, and Ms. Fan Shuangfen (released).
