Wang Bo' s Uncle Persecuted Under "Orders from Above"
(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of July 7, 2007, Wang Bo's uncle Gai
Wufan went out to buy breakfast, but was stopped by local police officer Zhang
Xinzheng, who was waiting outside his residence. Zhang Xinzheng called a van,
and two police officers arrived to take Gai Wufan away. They said he needed to
complete the paperwork for serving a term outside the labor camp, and sent him
immediately to Team 304 at the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp. The police
explained that they were carrying out orders from higher authorities. The lawless CCP personnel ignored Gai Wufan's highly precarious health and
placed him in the labor camp anyway. It is said that Gai Wufan's wife Liu Ruiqin
was also sentenced to forced labor, but was "kindly" allowed to serve
her term outside the labor camp to look after an 87-year-old relative at home. Liu Ruiqin has to take care of a nearly 90-year-old family member who often
falls ill, as well as a 5-year-old granddaughter. Doing all of this by herself
is really hard on everyone. Before her husband was taken away, agents from the Yudong Police Station in
the Yuhua District of Shijiazhuang City came to her home twice (on June 21 and
22), to harass them. The agents took notes of their conversations. On July 4, the legal section of the Shijiazhuang City Police Department, the
National Security Division and police from Yudong Police Station sentenced Gai
Wufan to one year of forced labor. The reason they gave was because Wang Bo's
family had engaged in conversations with a lawyer and had "stirred things
up." Mr. Gai Wufang was later released because the labor camp refused to
accept him due to his serious hypertension and heart conditions. On July 5, police from the local station came to his home again, saying that
due to pressure from above they still had to send him to a labor camp. They said
they wanted him to have another health check-up at a more prestigious, larger
hospital. However, the result was even worse than the previous check-up at the
labor camp, and he was in critical condition. The police then had to let him go
home. Relevant organizations and personnel: 304 Team at the Shijiazhuang City Labor Camp; Address: Taihua Street,
