Taiwan: Falun Dafa Nine-Day Lecture Series Held in Chiayi (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners in Chiayi, Taiwan held a nine-day Falun Dafa lecture series in Ching Kuo New Town starting from August 13, 2007. The compassion of Falun Dafa shone upon the largest military family residence in Chiayi. Those who attended the lecture series, the videotaped lectures of Master li Hongzhi, concentrated on the lectures and were merged in a peaceful atmosphere.

Ching Kuo New Town, is located in a busy district of Chiayi. It is a large area with skyscrapers. There are more than two thousand households in this area. Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa by visiting residents and distributing fliers about the lecture series.

During the lecture series, a video of Master Li Hongzhi's teaching was played each day, after which practitioners taught the exercises. Practitioners also shared their own experiences of cultivation.

Local residents were very excited to learn the exercises, and they learned very attentively. Several elderly people said that their hands felt sore while they were learning the exercises, but they felt very good all over after doing the exercise.

Ms. Lee shared her experience on the second day. She used to have an unknown form of skin disease. Her face was swollen and hot. She had to apply ice packs on her face very often. She couldn't go outdoors. She was hospitalized six times but neither western nor Chinese medicine could help. A doctor happened to tell her about Falun Gong. That was how she started her cultivation practice. She said, "I watched Master Li's lecture video at home. I would clap whenever the lecture audience clapped. I started reading the Fa and doing the exercises. It was miraculous! My face stopped swelling after a few months."

After experiencing the benefits of Falun Dafa, she shared the good news with her brother-in-law, who works in a hospital. However, her brother-in-law was influenced by the lies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and told her not to practice Falun Gong.

"My brother-in-law was deceived by the CCP's lies. Fortunately, I told him my personal experience and told him that Falun Gong is the best; a most righteous cultivation of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. He has started practicing Falun Gong himself."

Through Mrs. Lee's sharing, the local residents learned more about the benefits of Falun Dafa and gained greater confidence in cultivation practice.
