My Thoughts on the Arrest of Villagers from Hebei Province Who Went to Appeal

(Clearwisdom.net) Villagers from Dazidian Village in Cangzhou, Hebei Province went to the Cangzhou government to appeal for their safety, but their problems were not solved by the government. On the contrary, over 170 villagers were arrested as a result.

On May 11, 2007, there was a chemical (toluene diisocyanate a.k.a. TDI) explosion in a subsidiary of the Cangzhou Dahua Group Company that is right beside Dazidian Village. The accident caused many deaths and injuries. Many houses within 500 meters of the explosion were damaged. TDI production is a highly dangerous industry. According to national security standards, the factory should be built at least 1,500 meters away from the village. The TDI explosion made the villagers worry about their own safety because even though the detonation itself was not the largest threat, if the poisonous gas in the factory leaked out, none of the villagers would be able to survive. Around 1:00 a.m. on June 26, authorities sent over 1,000 military police and several hundred police cars to secretly surround Dazidian Village and over 170 villagers were arrested. During the arrest, police beat up anyone they ran into, even old people.

In recent decades, the CCP's tyranny recklessly abused the law and human rights. Especially in the persecution and false charging of Falun Gong practitioners, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its instruments of dictatorship, including public security, procuratorate, legal, jurisdiction and military systems, have committed crimes against humanity and genocide of the Chinese people in the illegal arrest, detention, extortion of confession by torture, blackmail, reckless killing, and harvesting and sale of human organs. Since the 2008 Olympics is approaching, the CCP wants to use suppression and power to scare Chinese people into keeping silent so that Chinese society will appear to be "harmonious" and they can deceive the world.

Recently, Cangzhou also carried out CCP orders to harass Falun Gong practitioners.

On July 1, 2007, staff members from the 610 Office and local police station of Lvqiao Township in Huanghua City went to Zhouxi Village in Zhouqing Township to harass local Dafa practitioner Mr. Han and his family and forced them to sign a pledge. Policemen from Xuzhuang Police Station of Nanda Habour harassed local Dafa practitioners, who in response clarified the truth and resisted the persecution with righteous thoughts. The police learned the truth and they left. The staff members from the 610 Office and local police station of Lvqiao Township in Huanghua City harassed, followed, monitored, and hid to watch Dafa practitioners. In the afternoon of July 9, police from Nanhuan Police Station in Cangzhou City returned to some practitioners' homes to harass and fingerprint them.

On midnight July 11, over a dozen policemen led by Zhao Jun went to ransack practitioner Xiao Xiuying's home, attempting to find evidence to arrest her. Their actions frightened an 80-year-old grandparent and a young child in the family. In order to avoid further persecution, Ms. Xiao left home with her infant that was only a few months old after the police retreated empty-handed.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Hongxin and Mr. Shi Yinguo from Wumaying Village of Wumaying Township of Nanpi County in Cangzhou City used broadband to visit the Minghui/Clearwisdom web site and were detected by the authorities. On July 20, many policemen from Nanpi County Police Department broke into their home and confiscated their computer and U drive and also told them to go to the police department on July 21 for a "talk."

"Today Falun Gong is persecuted. Who will be next?" This is a question that all Chinese people need to think about. The question was raised by around 100 Taiwan Falun Gong practitioners who were refused entry and repatriated by the Hong Kong government when they went to Hong Kong to join a parade on July 1, 2007. It is not hard to see from this incident the extension of the persecution overseas and the CCPs interference with the free country of Hong Kong. The promise of "one country, two systems" was shamelessly discarded by the CCP.

Some people may say: I am not a Falun Gong practitioner and this has nothing to do with me. Chinese people have learned to equate "having nothing to do with me" to "not caring" through the CCP's propaganda and they feel lucky that they are not classified as part of the small group persecuted by the CCP at the time. They feel that they are safe. Actually under the CCP's tyranny, today you may be safe, but you may not be safe tomorrow. During the "land reform" period, landlords were eliminated because the CCP wanted to take their land. During the "three antis" period, capitalists were persecuted because the CCP wanted to take their property. During the Great Cultural Revolution, "intellectuals" were persecuted because they might criticize the CCP. Today, Falun Gong practitioners have their organs harvested, are detained in jail, or tortured in labor camps or brainwashing centers just because they believe in "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance." Over 3,000 deaths have been confirmed.

The tyranny against the Chinese people under CCP rule does not distinguish between people or groups. Once the CCP feels threatened, the CCP will wield its iron club of persecution. This is because the worship of violence and frequent killings are the nature of the CCP.
