Police Arrest Mother, Mistreat Young Son

(Clearwisdom.net) At 5:00 p.m. on July 19, 2007, three police officers from the Worker's Village Police Station in the Xigan District of Dalian City, broke into practitioner Ms. Sheng Lianying's house and took her away. The police officers involved were Zhou Ziqiang, Xie Jian and a female officer. Following the home search, the officers confiscated a telephone, an MP3 player and Ms. Sheng's son's computer. The police also arrested practitioner Sun Qiaohua.

Ms. Sheng Lianying's husband is deceased, and she lives with her young son. Her son is now left home alone and without anyone to care for him. On the night of her arrest, young Chao Chao went to the police station looking for his mother. He told the police that he was home alone and needed support for daily living. The police sent him to the neighborhood office to complain.

On July 20, 2007, at 9:00 a.m., Chao Chao went to Jinhai Garden Residential Committee to file a complaint. He said, "My mother is a good person who obeys the law. Why did you arrest her? I have no means to support myself." Residential Committee Party secretary Sun Jie refused to take responsibility. He also called the Xianglu Street Administration office to inform them about the matter.

Later a man and a woman from the Street Administration arrived. They told Chao Chao loudly, "We cannot solve your problem. You are here looking for trouble, not to solve problems. Go home quickly!"

Chao Chao refused to leave, so the pair called the "110" emergency hotline. After the police arrived, the administration staff talked to the police in the office. Then the police took Chao Chao to the Worker's Village Police Station. The police told Chao Chao in the afternoon to go home and never return. They threatened that if Chao Chao returned they would treat him as a trouble maker.

Chao Chao went to the police station again on the afternoon of July 25, 2007. This time only Zhou Ziqiang was there, the person in charge of this case. Zhou told Chao Chao that Jinhai Garden policeman Luan Wenku was the one in charge. When Chao Chao called Luan, Luan said that he was not responsible for his mother's case. Chao Chao did not find a single police officer who would take responsibility.

The following are some of the police officers involved in this incident:
