Incidents of Barbaric Abuse against Falun Gong Practitioners at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in 2007

(Clearwisdom.net) The No. 3 Division at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province is currently illegally detaining more than 60 Falun Gong practitioners. Among them, 18 practitioners were very steadfast and did not compromise at all. They all suffered from varying degrees of mental and physical torture carried out by police officers and collaborators.

These police officers used one torture in particular on practitioners. They handcuffed their hands to two pillars. Then they used all their strength to stretch the practitioners outwards. Some practitioners became handicapped due to this torture.

Below are some cases describing torture methods practitioners suffered from in 2007:

1. Ms. Zi Junying, a practitioner from Chaoyang City, did not cooperate with the lawless personnel and therefore was hung up for eight days. She refused to report to the guards like other criminals and therefore collaborator Zou Xiuyan reported her to the authorities. She was thus hung up for one day by policeman Wang Xiaofeng. As a result one of her palms turned black and blue and red sores covered her hands and wrists. Even though her arm was seriously injured, the police still compelled her to do slave labor.

2. Ms. Geng Li, a practitioner from Dalian City, did not give in to the demands of the lawless personnel. They detained her beyond her term. Thus Geng Li went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was thus force-fed by police officers. She became very weak due to being tortured.

3. Ms. Wang Baokun, a practitioner who is sixty-four years old, was tortured by lawless personnel even though her blood pressure was as high as 220 mmHg. These people are, policemen Li Jun, Liu Yong, Wang Qi, Ma Jinshan, Zhang Jun, Yan Siguang. They forced her to do slave labor, tortured her and even handcuffed her until both her hands started to show signs of decay.

4. Ms. Zhao Shuyun refused to sign the documents renouncing her practice in Falun Gong. She was thus tortured by the police. The violators include Zhang Jun, Zhang Chunguang, Zhao Guorong, Song Guihong, Xian Kuili as well as criminal Niu Zhihong.

5. Ms. Han Xiujian, a practitioner from Anshan who is sixty-three years old, was hung up and tortured by policemen Wang Danfeng and not allowed to meet with other practitioners.

6. Ms. Chen Wei, a practitioner from Benxi, refused to cooperate with the lawless personnel. She did not answer any of their questions and was thus beaten by police officers. On April 9, 2007, they found new articles of Falun Gong she had on her, and police officers once again beat her.

7. Ms. Li Yang, a practitioner from Shenyang City, refused to answer questions or acknowledge the slander against Falun Gong. Thus she was hung up and beaten by police officers.

8. Ms. Tong Xiaoyan, a practitioner from Benxi, refused to answer questions or do so-called homework and was thus hung up for three days.

Furthermore, as there was a shortage of criminals who they could use for slave labor at the Mansanjia Forced Labor Camp, they thus transferred one dozen detainees from Beijing. Among them were five Falun Gong practitioners. One detainee was too exhausted and not in a clear state of mind and therefore her finger got chopped off by a machine, which damaged the machine. The police had the gall to ask her to compensate them two thousand yuan for the machine.

Policemen: He Yanxiang (he was directly involved in the incident where they stripped 18 Falun Gong practitioners naked and threw them into male cells), Xiang Kuili (female), Zhang Xiurong, Yang Jiang, Zhou Qin, Li Jun, Liu Yong, Wang Qi, Yan Siguang, Chen Jingmin, Zhang Jun, Wang Xiaoyan (female), Li Mingdong, etc.
